OnePlus 7 Pro Pricing Revealed For European Markets – Base Model Starts Off At €699

0

The OnePlus 7 Pro is deemed to be the next contender for OnePlus. OnePlus itself has come a long way with its smartphones. Starting from scratch the brand shaped up the upper midrange market for smartphones and has ever since provided quality products with very accessible prices.

There have been a few details already leaked about the device, from its renders to its internals and even pricing. The phone is undoubtedly a beast but today, courtesy of Roland Quandt, the launch prices for the OnePlus Pro have surfaced for the European markets.

The base model of the upcoming smartphone with 6GB/128GB configuration is speculated to start off at €699 in most European nations with prices going to a maximum of €709 depending on what region one’s from. Considering the pricing of the new OnePlus, fans were devastated to see how a smartphone which once aimed at the $500 price point has jumped two stories and starts off at $700.

Many even criticized that OnePlus is no longer the “Flagship Killer” as it once was and the company has launched a cash-grabbing smartphone at such a price. While all this disappointment may be justified, we can’t just target OnePlus. Over the course of a few years, the landscape of modern smartphones has shifted significantly. Gone are the days when the $500 mark was considered to be the gold standard for smartphones ever since Chinese budget smartphones backed by Xiaomi and Huawei flooded.

Recently, the $750 price point has turned a lot of head. It acts as an intermediate point for smartphones where the devices’ host flagship internals with very little trade-offs. Samsung and Apple have already hopped on the hype train with their lower end variants like the Galaxy S10e and the iPhone XR. Among all this, OnePlus feels left out at a $600 price point and hence the price rise.

Now there are two ways OnePlus can go from here. They could either stick to their formula of being the underdog and a “flagship killer” which they clearly arent according to a majority or they could spice it up. Changing their approach would mean that OnePlus is finally redeeming itself to the fullest and would directly take on the top tier smartphones like the Galaxy S10 and the iPhone XS. Since the phone is already compared to the top cream smartphone they might as well compete directly with a bigger and better budget.

Realme X Appears On Geekbench – Features Snapdragon 710, 8GB RAM & More

Realme has enjoyed massive success since its inception a few years ago. Following the launch of the late Realme 3 Pro, all eyes are being set on the Realme X, and it seems like the first leg has just leaked via Geekbench.

A device branded as the Realme RMX1901 has just emerged on Geekbench, leaking a few details of the alleged Realme X. According to the listing, the upcoming Realme X would come with a Snapdragon 710 SoC and 8GB RAM. In addition to that, the device would run on Android 9 Pie out of the box.

The device managed to score 1506 and 5837 in the single-core and multi-core department.

There aren’t any additional details that we could find from the leak. However, there are a few points to note here. Not only is Realme going with a Snapdragon 710 rather than a Snapdragon 712, but it seems to be going for Android 9 Pie out of the box rather than Android Q.

Additional rumors have suggested the development of the Snapdragon 720 / 730 SoC. However, there’s no details on when these SoCs would be arriving to the market.

OnePlus 7 Pro Leaks In Almond – This Is It

0

The OnePlus 7 Pro is the talk around town. As OnePlus gets closer to its final launch, even more, renders of the OnePlus 7 Pro have emerged. This time, in Nebula Blue and Almond.

Previously, leaks from Ishan have showcased the OnePlus 7 Pro in Nebula Blue and Mirror Grey. However, this time, you could finally have your look at the third color the OnePlus 7 Pro is about to come in, Almond.

Like previous leaks, we yet again have a familiar look at the OnePlus 7 Pro we’ve come to know so far. The OnePlus 7 Pro in almond looks to be an incredible choice and addition to OnePlus’s color palette, pushing OnePlus into the trendier realm of color palettes many other manufacturers have been playing with for a while.

Other than that, expect the same hardware we’ve been expecting so far. From the Fluid AMOLED display to the rest of the spec sheet. What I’m personally keen to keep an eye on is the pricing OnePlus is expecting to retail the OnePlus 7 family at. Even though leaks have suggested what the OnePlus 7 Pro’s Indian price tag would look like, the question is, would see the same pricing for other regions as well, or is it the usually inflated price tag as always.

Samsung Releases Its Latest ISOCELL Camera Sensors – Introduces The Industry’s First 64MP Sensor

0

Samsung has always had a lust for being the best and to be the leading manufacturer when it comes to raw innovation. This lust has led them to work tirelessly into bringing new innovations and technologies to the general consumer base such as the punch hole display, 1TB of the internal display, the first ever ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and much more.

Today, Samsung has just released the industry’s first 64MP camera. Powered by Samsung’s ISOCELL GW1 technology the sensor becomes the first ever to reach such high pixel count. Along with that, the manufacturer has also released a 48 MP Bright GM2 ISOCELL sensor. The 64MP behemoth would be able to take ultra high-resolution images in bright light situations while lowlight conditions would downgrade the resolution to 16MP.

Both the sensors support real-time HDR while adopting Samsung’s tetra cell technology for low light photography. The ISOCELL sensors by Samsung have always given tough times to the Sony IMX sensors and the competition among both the brands has been staggering. With the introduction of an ultra crisp and sharp sensor, Samsung has laid down a new foundation for upcoming smartphones.

The 64MP pixel count is a decent step up from the 48MP sensors which we’ve seen in most devices these days. The technology is expected to be mass produced by the second half of 2019 and would be experimented most probably on the Galaxy A series. The Galaxy A series smartphones have been the lab rats for Samsung these past couples of years and we expect them to test out the sensor first in one of their Galaxy A series devices later this year.

Xiaomi Mi 9 & Mi MiX 3 5G Are Getting Android Q Betas Already

Xiaomi hasn’t been the fastest lap-runner when it comes to major Android updates. However, it seems like Xiaomi could be changing that. In a recent post published over on their Facebook page, Xiaomi has announced that they’ve begun pushing Android Q Beta to the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi MiX 3 5G.

Xiaomi further detailed the whole ordeal by announcing that enthusiasts would actually have to participate in the Android Q Beta by joining the program itself and would not be available to everyone out of the box via an OTA.

Xiaomi also made sure that they would detail the instructions briefly. And so, if you aren’t aware of the process, let’s simply go over them.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, it seems like you would not have to unlock your bootloader to move from MIUI to the Android Q Beta, rather, you would use the fastboot method to install the beta on the Mi 9 and Mi MiX 3 5G.

If you’re interested in flashing the new firmware, you would have to install the latest version of Mi Flash, along with the respective drivers for either device. In addition to that, you would have to extract the files from the zip file Xiaomi has provided and install it from there.

The latest Android Q Beta introduces system-wide dark mode to Android, along with a number of other navigation gestures to go along with it. Of course there are a number of other improvements that Android Q brings to the table, but that isn’t something we have to detail here.

Pokemon GO Revenues Reach $65 Million Last Month, Year On Year Growth Recorded At 15%

0

Pokemon GO has been a living sensation ever since its release way back in 2016. The game garnered a ton of attention and publicity mostly from millennials who have been attached to the franchise ever since their childhood.

As by the most recent report by Sensor Tower, the revenue garnered by the game has already surpassed $65 million which is astounding considering it makes up a 15% increment over April of the previous year. This just shows that people’s love and affection for the game has never really stopped and although the hype may have settled down, the game has been growing at a very steady pace.

Moreover, there are quite a few factors involved in the success of the title. The game was one of the first to implement the AR technology for video games and approached the classic franchise with a modern twist with practical tasks and mission to achieve the objective. Memes about the famous Pikachu have also influenced sales quite a bit and since the Detective Pikachu movie is right around the corner, we speculate that the numbers are to grow even more.

Player spendings have been up by 33% throughout all platforms at about $270 million compared over last year’s $203 million. The title itself has climbed three spots up the top ten ladder, being placed at the 7th spot compared to last year’s 10th spot. Overall the game has proved its worth and continues to grow. It has proven that the additional content constantly added to the game is definitely worthy and all in all the future itself looks bright.

OnePlus 7 Pro Seems To Be A Beast From Another Dimension -Specs & Pricing Revealed

With ten days left for the official debut of the OnePlus 7 series, assuring specifications have leaked out revealing everything that we have been looking out for. Courtesy of Ishan Agarwal, we would finally be able to close out the leaks regarding the OnePlus 7 Pro in its entirety.

In his latest slew of tweets, Ishan Agarwal has come with some definitive specifications of the OnePlus 7 Pro. According to the tipster, the OnePlus 7 Pro would feature the following hardware

  • Snapdragon 855
  • 6 / 8 / 12GB LPDDR4x Memory
  • 128 / 256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage
  • 6.67-inch QHD+ 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display
  • 16MP Seflie camera housed in the pop-up notch
  • Triple Rear Camera Setup 48MP (F/1.6, OIS) + 8MP (F/2.2, OIS, telephoto) + 16MP (PDAF, Ultrawide)
  • 4000mAh Battery
  • Dual Stereo Speaker Setup
  • Under-Display Fingerprint Sensor
  • 30W Warp Charge Technology

That’s all Ishan revealed regarding the specifications, putting a lot of our concerns to rest. What’s worth noting is that OnePlus has indeed gone with UFS 3.0 storage rather than UFS 2.1 storage, making OnePlus, the first manufacturer to feature the new beefed-up storage solution. In addition to that, OnePlus has also bumped up the battery capacity and RAM capacity on the OnePlus 7 too. Compared to the OnePlus 6T that came before it, the OnePlus 7 Pro features a 4000mAh battery, allowing OnePlus to jump back into the big leagues.

Samsung had announced that they had begun mass production of their 256GB UFS 3.0 storage chips ahead of the launch of the Galaxy S10 series launch back in February. However, that didn’t seem to be the case in the end.

Like previous leaks, we finally get yet another assurance regarding the OnePlus 7 Pro’s 2K 90Hz ‘Fluid AMOLED’ display along with that triple-camera setup that everyone is about to fuss about. Furthermore, Warp Charge 30 continues to be your savior here, delivering 30w of juice to the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Regarding pricing, the OnePlus 7 Pro is said to retail for the following prices in India.

  • OnePlus 7 Pro | 6GB / 128GB – ₹49,999 (US $722)
  • OnePlus 7 Pro | 8GB / 256GB – ₹52,999 (US $766)
  • OnePlus 7 Pro | 12GB / 256GB – ₹57,999 (US $838)

With all of that being confirmed, I personally can’t wait to see what OnePlus reveals at the event given how much of the OnePlus 7 Pro has been revealed so far. Until then, stay tuned for the OnePlus 7 series keynote, scheduled for May the 14th.

Nokia 9 To Make Its Way Into The Indian Consumer Market – Passes The BIS Certification

0

Nokia earlier this year announced the Nokia 9, an upper mid range semi flagship device with a very unique approach to the smartphone industry. The phone housed a whopping 5 camera setup at the rear and mainly focussed on the photographic aspects of modern smartphones.

India is one of the largest smartphone markets thanks to its growing GDP and population. The country has offers the largest online platform for its citizens and with a population this huge, sales are bound to explode. Nokia reportedly has passed the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and the TA-1087 model of the Nokia 9 is officially certified to be released in India.

As HMD Global seeks global expansion, India is one of its strongest markets with a massive fleet of devices being sold there from budget to mid-rangers and now the Nokia 9. Exposing the highest grade smartphone by the manufacturer in a region like India would most certainly prove beneficial for HMD Global and would significantly affect sales figures.

Having such a unique option for the Indian oriented markets would oblige enthusiasts to opt for the Nokia 9. While Nokia claims that the phone itself isn’t the flagship grade and while it does come with a few shortcomings here and there, the overall device is undoubtedly a solid piece of innovation. As for the release date of the device, nothing is yet known but the device is expected to launch soon with a price ranging from 40,000 INR to 50,000 INR.

Samsung’s Upcoming Smartphones To Be Completely Bezel-less, States VP Yang Byung

0

Samsung’s smartphone has been on point for the last few years. The Korean manufacturer has been giving extra attention to its flagship series smartphones and working tirelessly to innovate more and more. The competition, however, is tough with a ton of brands trying to achieve a certain goal.

A Chinese news site reported that Samsung would most certainly be working on a completely bezel-less and notch-less smartphone. It is stated that Samsung’s vice president of the display R&D group, Yang Byung-Duk intimated about the possibility of a ‘perfect full-screen’ display. This could mean that upcoming Samsung devices would house a completely bezel-less display with no intrusions. He stated,

“technology can be developed to the extent that the camera hole is invisible and does not affect the functionality of the camera.”

Samsung out of all has been pretty straight forward with its smartphones and has been very positive with the Galaxy S10. With the iconic punch hole design display the S10 took screen real estate to a whole new level leaving behind notches and bezels in the dust. As 2019 moves on, the race for the most effective screen to body ratio continues. Smartphones have come with incredible ideas such as a rotary mechanism and a slider mechanism on the Oppo Find X and the Mi MiX 3 respectively.

Having a front camera sensor under the display would mean that no sort of punch hole or notch would be necessary to be carved into the display meaning a seamless design with a smooth and uninterrupted experience. With competitors still aiming for a punch hole display, Samsung is already two steps ahead of the competition. Despite poor sales in the previous quarter Samsung is determined on making the perfect bezel-less display smartphone.

Once again just like the S10, we expect this technology to be properly implemented next year. The S11 would be the first phone to house such technological feats just like the S10 does considering today’s standards. This would open a new market place for completely bezel-less smartphones and Samsung is most likely to lead the pack. Having years worth of experience in the smartphone industry and the display industry, the Galaxy devices have always had superior displays and we hope that the upcoming devices hold up to the standards.

OnePlus 7 Pro Renders Emerge – Comes In Nebula Blue & Mirror Grey

As we get closer to the OnePlus 7 series launch, renders of the beautiful OnePlus 7 Pro have begun to emerge in promising detail.

According to the renders so far, the OnePlus 7 Pro has two of its colors, Nebula Blue and Mirror Grey, confirmed. Courtesy of Ishan Agarwal, these renders feature a ton of details we’ve heard from leaks and rumors so far, and by the looks of it, the OnePlus 7 Pro is a gorgeous device that would be hard to overlook.

In the renders published by the leaker, the OnePlus 7 Pro showcases the dual curve-sided display as well as that infamous full screen-to-body ratio design we’ve come to love. In addition to that, we also get to see the button placement on the device as well as the triple-camera setup that we’ve been talking about for a while now.

The OnePlus 7 Pro has been the device that has been leaking the most for the past couple of months. With the Snapdragon 855 coming as a standard on all three variants of the OnePlus 7 family, I’m curious to see what OnePlus puts on the table later this week and how it fares against the competition.

For a bit of recap, the OnePlus 7 Pro would feature a QHD+ 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 855 SoC, at least a single 12GB variant, no wireless charging, a triple-camera setup on its rear, a pop-up camera on its front, and would come in at least two colors as of this leak.

OnePlus has also confirmed that they would be debuting the OnePlus family on May 14th, 2019 in NYC, USA and Bangalore, India.

What’s left to be seen is whether the rest of the specifications and features manage to entice users this year. After all, we still don’t have any concrete information or leaks regarding the storage options, pricing, and battery sizes. Until then, it seems like we would have to wait for OnePlus to launch the device later this week.

OnePlus 7 Pro Benchmark Scores Leaked – Reveals 12GB RAM & Snapdragon 855

After weeks of leaks and rumors, the OnePlus 7 Pro has finally made its way to Geekbench’s database. The alleged benchmark of the OnePlus 7 Pro has appeared as the GM1917 on Geekbench, revealing and confirming the inclusion of 12GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 855 SoC.

With that aside, Geekbench also suggested that the OnePlus 7 Pro would run on Android 9 Pie out of the box and managed to score 3551 and 11012 in single-core and multi-core benchmarks, right in line with a few other similarly equipped devices.

Based on previous leaks, this indeed is the OnePlus 7 Pro. However, even if the leak isn’t legitimate, there’s no reason to doubt that this leak has been faked.

With the benchmarks now leaked, I personally can’t wait to see what type of show OnePlus puts up later this week. So far, of the OnePlus 7 family, we’ve seen camera samples, variants, renders, display and a whole lot more. In addition to that, given that this is just the OnePlus 7 Pro that we’re talking about, I can’t wait to see what the OnePlus 7 5G has in store.

With all the things OnePlus is introducing with the OnePlus 7 family of devices, I’m curious to see how the OnePlus 7 family is priced and stacked against the competition.

2019 iPhone XR To Feature A Dual Camera Setup – 2x Zoom Incoming, Leak Suggests

It seems like this year’s iPhone XR may actually pack an extra camera sensor this year. According to the folks over at Wccftech, via ITHome, a Chinese publication, the iPhone XR is expected to pack a 2x telephoto camera.

These leaks, are allegedly being sourced via a supply chain in China, the Chinese publication suggests and could be a strong hint for what we could expect from the iPhone XS and XS Max’s successors this year. With the iPhone XR featuring a dual camera setup on its rear, Apple would be a whole lot more comfortable adding an extra sensor to the 2019 iPhone XS and XS Max successors.

Telephoto cameras have been all the rage since the inception of dual-camera setups. And while they’ve morphed and taken on different tasks and forms over the past couple of years, I would be happier to see this year’s iPhone XR featuring an ultra-wide camera rather than a telephoto one, but then again, we’re talking about Apple here.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds, especially with all the renders of the iPhone XS successors being leaked from all sides. With the smartphone market pushing ahead of their 2018 party tricks, Apple is definitely wary of the heated competition of 2019. With four to five months left to clock into the launch of the new successors, what Apple would offer would definitely be a sight to behold.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Finally Supports Fortnite With The New MIUI Update

0

Xiaomi pushed its latest update for its fleet of devices. The latest update specifically introduces support for Fortnite for the Redmi Note 7 Pro and addresses a number of bugs users have been complaining about.

With MIUI 10.2.10.0, Redmi Note 7 Pro users could finally install Fortnite on their devices and enjoy the Fortnite experience on their smartphones.

Since the launch of Fortnite on Android, Fortnite specifically mentioned devices that support the game in its device list. With the Redmi Note 7 Pro joining the gang largely dominated by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and 855-equipped devices, Xiaomi has gained a ton of respect in the community for pushing a mid-range phone featuring the Snapdragon 675 into Fortnite’s supported devices list.

Given that Xiaomi is currently retailing the Redmi Note 7 Pro exclusively in China and India, it definitely leaves out a ton of users to get their hands on Fortnite if they picked up the largely popular Redmi Note 7 non-Pro model.

Given Xiaomi’s large marketshare in a huge market such of that of India’s, we would be keen to see how this move penetrates other mid-rangers to follow in the same footsteps. Hopefully, enlarging Fortnite’s player base.

Samsung Galaxy M40 Under Development For The Indian Market, Rumors Suggest

0

Following the massive success Samsung garnered with the launch of the Galaxy M and newly-rebooted Galaxy A-series, new reports have emerged suggesting that Samsung may not be done with their Galaxy M-devices.

A new leak, courtesy of Ishan Agarwal has just emerged, suggesting the development of the Galaxy M40. According to the leaker, the upcoming Galaxy M40, codenamed SM-M405F, would most probably be releasing the device in India really soon.

Aside from suggesting the 128GB of internal storage the M40 is suspected to pack, other specifications regarding the device haven’t been revealed. However, Ishan did reveal the color options that the M40 would come in.

Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy M40 (SM-M405F) soon. It will definitely be launched in India. It seems like it will have at least three colour options: Black, Blue, and Coral (Orange). 128GB Storage in one of the variants. #GalaxyM40 #Samsung

said Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) on Twitter

Given how fast Samsung is preparing these devices, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Samsung officially launching the Galaxy M40 within the next month or two.

Given how the Galaxy A30 and A50 are ranked, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Galaxy M40 share more than a few internals of the Galaxy A30 and A50.

However, with the upcoming Realme 3 Pro and Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi A3 lineup, releasing such a device that would obviously be overlooked by fans on either side of the spectrum seems to be a dubious choice to make, especially given how well the Galaxy A and M series are doing already.

OnePlus 7 Pro Camera Samples Teased & Leaked – Here’s What They Look Like

0

OnePlus has officially begun teasing the arrival of the OnePlus 7, most particularly, the OnePlus 7 Pro. Following the leaks that suggested that the OnePlus 7 Pro features a trio of cameras on its back, OnePlus has officially sampled a few shots on Twitter to keep the hype going.

The following shots published by OnePlus USA’s Twitter handle showcase what the camera’s shots would look like. Here is your official look at the OnePlus 7 Pro’s camera in action.

What’s worth noting is that the shots published above may have been heavily compressed after they were uploaded to Twitter. However, the shots do give us a good sense of what the shots may look like in the end when it arrives on May the 14th.

These reveal shots come less than a day after Wired, a major publication, published shots, featuring the OnePlus 7 Pro and after DisplayMate’s scoring of the OnePlus 7 Pro’s display. Putting OnePlus’s bias aside, the shots do look decent, not too good, not too bad. Here are a few shots from the folks over at Wired that showcase how much detail the telephoto camera loses out on, despite the healthy lighting conditions.

So far, OnePlus themselves, their partners, and their leakers have been buzzing about the OnePlus 7 Pro. I am personally keen to know what the OnePlus 7, the mass-market OnePlus device has in-store and whether it would be able to keep up with the big guns, especially when Xiaomi currently has the Mi 9 family, dominating the $400-500 market in many Asian and European markets.

OnePlus 7 Pro To Feature A “Fluid AMOLED” Display, Suggests Leaker – And It’s The Cheekiest Move Yet

0

Following the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Xiaomi Mi 9 family, OnePlus has begun teasing the arrival of their new OnePlus 7 family. Following rumors and leaks suggesting that OnePlus may be releasing more than one device this year, new leaks are suggesting that the OnePlus 7 Pro’s 90Hz display would be dubbed as a Fluid AMOLED display.

According to Max J from AllAboutSamsung, OnePlus would be dubbing the display on their OnePlus 7 Pro, a ‘Fluid AMOLED’ display. He also added that the display on the OnePlus 7 Pro would definitely feature a 90Hz refresh rate, but would quick-switch between 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rates, most obviously to reserve battery.

The display refresh rate of the #OnePlus7Pro isn’t fixed to 90Hz. It can change between 60Hz and 90Hz. They’re calling the screen “Fluid AMOLED”

said Max on Twitter via @Samsung_News_

This definitely seems to be a way for OnePlus to build on its hype after Samsung decided to call their new displays, ‘Dynamic AMOLED’. And in OnePlus’s favor, given the cheeky ‘Fluid’ phrase, it is an incredible marketing tactic that would deter many manufacturers from using the term or display.

Given that the OnePlus 7 Pro would most probably feature a 4000mAh battery or larger, having a display that would adapt its refresh rate based on the situation would definitely help the battery last a whole lot longer. However, given that phone usage is rather largely dependent on swipe gestures, I would suggest that the display would automatically bump up to 90Hz when touched, unless OnePlus digs deeper into optimizing the display’s battery conservation techniques manual.

OnePlus 7 Pro Features One Of The Best OLED Display On The Market, DisplayMate Suggests

0

OnePlus is getting closer to the launch of the OnePlus 7. Unlike previous years, OnePlus is expected to reveal more than one OnePlus 7 device this year, namely; the OnePlus 7, the OnePlus 7 Pro, and OnePlus 7 5G. DisplayMate, a well-respected display testing firm has just revealed the results of the OnePlus 7 Pro’s OLED display, and it seems to be more than positive.

DisplayMate’s in-depth Lab Tests of the OnePlus 7 Pro OLED Display have just been completed, earning our Highest A+ Display Rating. Our in-depth Display Shoot-Out will be published here on May 14.

said DisplayMate on Twitter

It seems like the display on the OnePlus 7 Pro would be incredible. Many rumors have pointed out that OnePlus would be upgrading their display resolution to QHD+, just like how Samsung and LG have been doing for years. And although the display would most probably is sourced from Samsung’s turf, I am keen to see how well the display on the OnePlus 7 Pro competes with the Galaxy S10 lineup.

Since Samsung would most probably reserve the best of their displays for the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 lineup, I would personally hold back a ton of my expectations, unless Samsung were to offer Apple displays that are better than the ones of the Galaxy S10 series of devices.

DisplayMate is expected to release a full analysis of the device’s display on the day the OnePlus 7 series launches, that is, on May the 14th, where OnePlus is also expected to reveal the OnePlus 7 in NYC and Bangalore, India, simultaneously.

Personally speaking, I can’t wait to see what OnePlus has in store. After all, all fingers are being pointed towards a much higher price tag. It’s upto OnePlus to be able to justify the cost of the OnePlus 7 lineup. Let’s see what they have in store apart from the triple-camera setup and high-resolution OLEDs.

Based on the latest report published from the folks over at NPD for March 2019, it seems like Ubisoft’s The Division 2 has enjoyed an incredible launch. Following The Division 2’s launch, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and MLB 2019 took second and third places, respectively.

Leaked Huawei P Smart Z Is Huawei’s Attempt At Trying The Pop-Up Selfie Camera

0

The Huawei P Smart Z is about to become the latest addition to Huawei’s lineup of smartphones. Out of the blue, trusted leaker, Evan Blass, released the first renders of the upcoming device.

The Huawei P Smart Z seems to be the first smartphone from Huawei that would take on the whole pop-up camera. Traditionally, Vivo has been working on such devices since the Nex S debuted last year. However, it seems like Huawei seems to be jumping onto every notch design it could get its hands on.

Specifications of the Huawei P Smart Z haven’t been leaked. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if the device is just another mid-ranger from Huawei that they simply released to experiment on the new design.

Coming back to the renders themselves, it seems like the Huawei P Smart Z, would come in three colors, that is; green, black, and blue. The front of the design is fairly indistinguishable from Vivo’s offerings but does seem to have a larger than usual chin for the device that features a pop-up selfie camera.

In addition to that, the device seems to feature a physical fingerprint scanner rather than an under display one, and on top of that, it features a dual-camera setup on its back rather than a triple camera setup that everyone’s jumping on nowadays.

The device is expected to debut in Europe according to some Twitter users who followed the tweet. Given how crowded the smartphone market has become, especially in the mid-range segment, I can’t find myself that excited for the device unless it introduces something out of the blue.

New Google Pixel 3A Renders Emerge – Introducing To You, Chins and Bezels!

0

Google’s upcoming Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL are Google’s latest additions expecting to introduce Google prowess into the mainstream. Over the past few months, Google’s Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL have been popping up on the internet, suggesting strong cues of development. However, as we get closer to its mid-2019 launch, new renders, courtesy of Evan Blass have begun to emerge.

The new render released by the trusty Evan Blass seem to be showcasing Google’s usual design language. It seems like the Pixel 3A, like the Pixel 3 and its predecessors would share the same design traits. The Pixel 3A, according to the renders, would feature rather large bezels on either side, including a humongous chin and forehead on the device.

In addition to that, the Google Pixel 3A is expected to feature a single camera set up yet again and would most likely come in the Panda colorway from the Pixel 2 series where the power button was coated in orange.

Regarding specifications, the Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A would be anything but high-end. As previous rumors suggested, the Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL would feature mid-range hardware for mid-range prices. According to several rumors, Google’s Pixel 3A lineup would feature 1080p displays, would most probably feature a Snapdragon 675 / 710, and 4GB of RAM.

Pricing hasn’t been leaked yet. However, given Google’s history, the Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL may very well feature a $499 and $599 price tag, respectively, despite the major Pixel 3 discounts.

Watch The OnePlus 7 Keynote Live Stream Here – Launches May 14th

OnePlus has officially begun teasing the upcoming OnePlus 7. Following a ton of leaks, over the past week, OnePlus CEO, along with a number of official channels have been teasing the incoming OnePlus 7 series of devices. Following rumors surrounding its keynote date, OnePlus has officially revealed that they would be revealing their OnePlus 7 series of devices on May the 14th.

With the event now confirmed, what’s left to be confirmed is the slew of devices OnePlus devices and specifications that rumors and leaks have been teasing for a while.

Like the OnePlus 6T, OnePlus would be revealing the device in Pier 94, NYC. However, leaks from least week have suggested that the OnePlus 7 keynote would go live simultaneously from NYC, USA and Bangalore, India. And while OnePlus has no mention of Bangalore on their page yet, it seems highly likely given how important the Indian market is for the brand.

As we predicted earlier, OnePlus would most probably be launching the OnePlus 7 5G alongside the “pretty much confirmed” OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. However, in our list of OnePlus 7 speculations that we published shortly after the OnePlus 6T, we also suspected that OnePlus may plan to increase the pricing of their devices even further. And rightfully so given what rumors have been murmuring lately. From the inclusion of a triple-camera setup on the OnePlus 7 Pro on its back to the addition of a 90Hz AMOLED display, the OnePlus 7 Pro would be no small feat.

What would burn the whole event down is if OnePlus begins competing with the iPhone XR and S10e given their price ranges. Given OnePlus’ history, we would suggest that the OnePlus 7 would start at around $650, while the OnePlus 7 Pro would most likely start at $750, leaving it eerily in line with the flagships from both giants across the aisle. However, given the additions, and that our pricing predictions aren’t wrong, the OnePlus 7 Pro at least, should be able to stand out.

This far, OnePlus hasn’t revealed a live stream link. However, we would be updating this piece as soon as OnePlus adds that into the mix. For now, OnePlus has added a link to their site.

Epic Games Bans 1221 World Cup Players – Was Sneakily Monitoring Participants

Epic’s $100 Million tournament has begun. After pushing some fixes to aid out the bugs, Epic quickly turned to players to monitor how fair tournament participants were. Today, Epic announced details regarding the number of bans they’ve imposed on players who weren’t playing by the rules.

  • A number of players across the world were banned for a number of different reasons. According to the numbers published by Epic Games today, it seems like 1163 out of the 1221 players were banned for circumventing region locks and were caught playing in a number of regions to increase their chances of ranking up. Epic Games has banned these players from competitive games for 14 days and has issued a warning to such players who plan to do so in the future. Epic has also forfeited 196 prize winners who were caught in the scheme.
  • The next set of players who were banned for 14 days were players who had been sharing their accounts. A total of 48 players were caught in the act out of which 9 players managed to initially get their prizes. Like the other cheaters, Epic has forfeited their prizes.
  • Eight accounts were banned for teaming, with one user having their prize forfeited.
  • One account was permanently banned for actually using cheats in the game.
  • Lastly, one player received the 72-hour ban for intentionally disconnecting from the server in order to avoid losing points to other players.

Epic Games advises players to read the Fortnite World Cup rules and is firm on its stance regarding fair play in Fortnite.

Epic further added that they’ve added real-time teaming detection in Fortnite. Epic hasn’t revealed on how long such players would be banned.

It’s great to see Epic putting in the hard work, monitoring players across the globe. After all, there’s $100 Million on the line which is the largest tournament pool e-Sports has ever seen.

OnePlus 7 Pro Camera Leaks Emerge – Triple Camera Setup With Extras

0

OnePlus is prepping the OnePlus 7 family of devices behind the curtains. As the devices continue to ship to retailers across the globe, new leaks regarding the OnePlus 7 Pro’s camera setup have emerged, suggesting some interesting details.

According to trusty leaker, Max, the OnePlus 7 Pro would indeed come with a triple camera setup. And while leaks earlier had suggested the same, these new leaks suggest that the telephoto camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro would feature 3x zoom on its 8MP telephoto shooter rather than the usual 2x zoom on most devices. Aside from that, the telephoto shooter is said to feature an f/2.4 aperture while the ultra-wide is said to feature an f/2.2 aperture.

A slightly different leak today:
The #OnePlus7Pro will feature three rear cams:
48MP Main Lens
8MP Telephoto Lens w/ 3x zoom F/2.4
16MP Ultra-Wide Lens F/2.2

said Max. J on Twitter

Details regarding OIS are missing as of yet. However, we would expect OnePlus to feature OIS on the main sensor as well as the telephoto shooter just like its rivals have done on their triple shooters.

What we’re interested to see is how well that 16MP ultra-wide shooter captures images. Given that the OnePlus 6 and 6T came with 16MP shooters at their back, we wouldn’t be surprised to see if the OnePlus 7 Pro reuses the same sensor this year for the telephoto shooter. And if they do, we’re most likely in for an incredible camera experience.

We can’t wait to see what OnePlus has in store this year. If you want to keep up with the action and murmurs, head over to our OnePlus 7 archive where you’ll find all the leaks regarding the family of devices so far.

Pixel 3 / 3 XL Lite 5K Renders Surface – Expected To Be Revealed Next Month For $500

0

The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 Lite have been rumoured for quite some time now. The devices were meant to bring the Pixel experience in a much more budget oriented fashion to enthusiasts. And while a lot of information about the device was leaked, nothing surfaced about its released date or arrival.

On leaks, however, has come up with 5K renders of the Pixel 3 Lite and the Pixel 3 Lite XL. The 360 degree renders apart from the geometrical integrity of the Pixel Lite reveal key internals of the phone and the basic features the phone is expected to host. Right off the first glance, we notice the fact that not much is different amongst the Pixel 3 Lite and Lite XL in terms of specifications.

The XL offers a bigger display with a bigger form factor while housing almost the same internals. Staying true to the Pixel theme, both the devices carry the Pixel 3 vibes and neither one hosts any sort of a notch. This shows that Google’s approach has been different. The brand tries to not shrink bezels and imply notches in order to maximize screen real estate but instead addresses the matter at hand. The Pixel 3 Lite is to house a 5.5″ -inch HD+ display while the XL variant would feature a 6” -inch panel.

Both the phones would house a rear capacitive fingerprint scanner like its predecessors and the camera orientation is an exact replica as well. Both the phones are to feature the colour textured power button with a 3.1 mm headphone jack. As for the pricing and availability, the leak suggests that the phone is to make its way into the mainstream next month with a starting price of $500. The pricing here seems unorthodox especially when we consider the fact that the full-fledged Pixel 3 has been going on sale for as low as $700. Moreover, the competition is undoubtedly tough with phones like OnePlus 7 ready to take on the Pixel Lite.
