The Apple Watch’s health functions have once again been credited with saving a life and eventually detecting a far larger health problem.

Raylene Hackenwerth, a 71-year-old lady from St. Petersburg, Florida, told WFTS Tampa Bay about how the Apple Watch fall detection function assisted her in a time of need…

Apple Watch comes to the rescue with fall detection.

Hackenwerth fell while alone earlier this month, but the Apple Watch’s fall detection feature was able to inform Jason, her son, and alert first responders. According to the report:

The culprit was the Apple Watch. Jason had given his mother a fitness tracker as a Christmas present. However, this was an unanticipated action. The 71-year-old grandma had had a serious tumble.

The watch sensed the fall and automatically dialed 9-1-1. One of the paramedics who responded, Joshua Stevens, said a distress call from a watch is unusual.”It communicates the geolocation, latitude, and longitude, so it’s a fairly useful function,” Stevens added.

When first responders arrived, Hackenwerth was “almost unconscious and pretty bruised up.” She was sent to a nearby hospital, where physicians “found a malignant tumor in her lungs.”

I wouldn’t have known this was there if it hadn’t been for the falling and the Apple Watch calling them, and it could have been too late by the time it was discovered later, Hackenwerth said in the interview.

Hackenwerth is currently awaiting treatment and is using her ordeal to express her gratitude for the Apple Watch and its fall detection feature, which she and her son “didn’t even know the watch had” until this encounter.

Apple Watch Series 4 and later contain a fall detection function built-in. If you’re under the age of 65, it’s turned off by default, but anybody may enable it using the iPhone’s Watch app.

The function detects a sudden fall and instantly calls emergency services if the individual does not dismiss the warning within one minute of falling. If the individual’s emergency contact information is entered, that person will get a text message and a map of the watch’s position at the moment of the fall.

The James Webb Space Telescope (Webb) has revealed its first crisp image, and it is a stunner – a magnificent glimpse of a flashing orange star that is focused with such precision that it defies physics.

According to NASA officials, the image demonstrates that the telescope’s 18 individual mirrors are now precisely aligned and working as one, and the shot is much better than scientists imagined it would be.

On Wednesday, the Webb team unveiled a snapshot of the Milky Way star, named 2MASS J17554042+6551277, and situated almost 2,000 light-years distant (March 16).

It was photographed using a red filter to increase the visual contrast between the star and the darkness of space, and it shows dozens of additional stars and distant galaxies in the background.

According to BBC News, the image demonstrates that the new space telescope’s optical systems are currently performing better than scientists and engineers had planned.

“We’ve done a highly in-depth analysis of the photographs we’re getting, and so far, the performance is as excellent as, if not better than, our most optimistic forecast.”

According to NASA, the image is the result of the “fine phasing” stage of mirror alignments, in which every optical parameter is tested to ensure that the telescope can properly capture light from distant objects.

Mirror positioning

Feinberg is in charge of aligning the space telescope’s 18 hexagonal beryllium mirrors so that they act as a single almost hexagonal reflector with a diameter of 21.3 feet (6.5 meters).

The design allows the mirror system to be folded and fit within a rocket fairing before launch, in contrast to Webb’s predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope, which has only one primary mirror that is roughly 7.8 feet (2.4 m) broad.

Webb’s first shot, revealed last month, showed 18 photos of a single star in a hexagonal pattern — one from each individual mirror, which had by then been approximately oriented to point in the same direction.

According to experts at the news conference, the new image indicates that the unfolded mirrors have been adjusted to within nanometers, resulting in a single image in sharp focus.

“We have now achieved what is known as ‘diffraction restricted alignment’ of the telescope,” Marshall Perrin, Webb deputy scientist at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, stated during a news conference.

When light passes through a lens, it creates a core picture and then a bullseye-like circle of “diffraction rings” surrounding it. The diffraction limit, which is determined by the wavelength, lens power, and distance from the item being measured, describes the distance between two objects or features before a telescope with a perfect lens can’t tell them apart.

And the most recent test shot is already superior to anything Hubble could have generated.

“Today’s engineering shots are as clear and sharp as Hubble’s images, because they’re at a wavelength of light that Hubble cannot see,” said Jane Rigby, operations program scientist for Webb at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Photographs in the future

According to NASA, the next step of the mission will be to fine-tune the alignment and bring several of the space telescope’s equipment online.

The Near-Infrared Spectrograph will examine the light spectra of distant objects to learn more about their physical properties, such as temperature and chemical composition; the Mid-Infrared Instrument, which is both a camera and a spectrograph that captures images.

in wavelengths the human eye cannot see; and the Near-Infrared Imager and Slitless Spectrograph, a highly precise instrument that will search for and investigate orbiting exoplanets.

The following step will take around six weeks, followed by a final alignment stage in which the Webb team will correct any leftover positioning mistakes in the mirror segments.

The Webb team says it is on track to finish work on the telescope’s entire optical system by early May, followed by another two months of instrument preparation; the space telescope could begin producing its first full high-resolution imagery and science data in the summer, according to the statement.

NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Canadian Space Agency collaborated on the $10 billion James Webb Space Telescope. It’s named for former NASA Administrator James E. Webb, who oversaw the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo space missions.

After years of technical delays, the space telescope will be deployed on December 25, 2021. It arrived in late January at the sun-Earth system’s L2 Lagrange point, some 930,000 miles (1.5 million kilometres) distant, where gravity balances out centrifugal forces.

Webb is expected to be able to observe distant objects up to 100 times fainter than the Hubble Space Telescope and to endure 10 to 20 years, until the fuel for the thrusters that maintain it in place runs out.

Moon Knight: Who is Moon Knight?

Elden Ring has sold 1 million copies in Japan and 11 million copies outside the nation, bringing the total sales to 12 million copies globally, according to a press statement on FromSoftware’s official website.

The Hubble Space Telescope has discovered an unnerving galaxy’s ‘eye’ peering out across the universe.

A new Hubble Space Telescope image vividly depicts the core of a faraway galaxy that is organized similarly to our own.

The Hubble Space Telescope (abbreviated HST or Hubble) is a space telescope that was deployed into low Earth orbit in 1990 and is still operational today. It was not the first space telescope, but it is one of the largest and most flexible, regarded as both a critical scientific instrument and a public relations boon for astronomy.

The Hubble Space Telescope is one of NASA’s Great Observatories, together with the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory (1991–2000), the Chandra X-ray Observatory (1999–present), and the Spitzer Space Telescope (2003–2020). It is named after astronomer Edwin Hubble.

The Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) chooses Hubble’s targets and interprets the accompanying data, while the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) manages the spacecraft.

The new image depicts the “eye” of NGC 1097, a galaxy 48 million light-years distant from Earth. NGC 1097 is a barred spiral galaxy, which means it is similar to the Milky Way.

“This image exposes the intricacy of the web of stars and dust in NGC 1097’s core, with the long tendrils of dust etched out in a dark red color,” said officials from the European Space Agency, a Hubble Space Telescope collaborator.

The Wide Field Camera 3 and the Advanced Camera for Surveys atop Hubble also contributed to the high-definition picture. (The latter sensor just marked 20 years in orbit having been installed on a service trip to the observatory in 2002.)

The astonishing new image is based on Hubble’s capacity to see in both visible and infrared (heat-seeking) wavelengths of light, rather than just visible light.

According to ESA officials, the image was produced “using seven distinct filters in total” among the devices, with each camera suited for a unique range of wavelengths. The picture is then colorized in visible wavelengths before being released to the public.

Other observations of NGC 1097, for example, have enabled astronomers to estimate the strength of the black hole.

Tracking the motions of two types of molecular gases surrounding the galaxy’s nucleus, for example, allowed astronomers to estimate the galaxy’s black hole had the mass of 140 million suns in 2015. The Milky Way, on the other hand, is around 4 million suns in size.

She said, “I made a thoughtless comment equating what I do in the film world with all that Serena and Venus William have achieved. Black women and World-class athletes. At Critics Choice awards, Jane made a comment about Serena and Venus while she was receiving her honor. She remarked that though they are marvels, they do not play against the guys as she does. At the moment camera captured Serena clapping animatedly. And after seeing the footage people got triggered and started trolling her.

People started tweeting about her remark and many critics criticized her. As per people, she was being racist towards these two black badminton legends.

The William sisters were attending the function to support the film “King Richard”. In this film, Will Smith portrayed their father, Richard William. Will won the award of best actor for this film. Everyone adored these two legends. They were the sweetheart of the ceremony.

Moreover, Jane’s film “The Power of The Dog” also won the honor of best screenplay. Therefore, William’s sisters and the executive producer of “King Richard” got a standing ovation from the audience while introducing the biography about William’s family. “King Richard” was nominated in four categories.

The creeping part of the San Andreas Fault might cause significant earthquakes.

The central segment of the San Andreas Fault may be capable of hosting greater earthquakes than previously thought.

The famed California fault is undergoing aseismic creep between the cities of Parkfield and Hollister.

Instead of accumulating strain and then slipping in a single earth-shaking moment, the two fault portions move imperceptibly, releasing stress without triggering significant quakes. However, looking back millions of years, experts discovered that this portion of fault may have been subjected to earthquakes of magnitude 7 and greater.

That is greater than the magnitude-6.9 Loma Prieta earthquake, which killed 63 people in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1989.

The date of the major quakes on the fault is unknown, although they happened within the last 3 million years, according to Genevieve Coffey, an earthquake geologist at GNS Science in New Zealand.

“The core area should be considered as a potential source of seismic hazard,” Coffey told Live Science.

The San Andreas Fault Zone

The San Andreas Fault is divided into three portions. The southern part, which stretches from the Salton Sea to Parkfield, California, is prone to strong earthquakes. The magnitude-7.9 Fort Tejon quake, for example, displaced the land along the fault 29.5 feet in 1857. (9 meters).

The northern section of the fault stretches from Hollister, California, across the Bay Area, and up to Cape Mendocino, California. This stretch of the fault is well known for the big 1906 San Francisco earthquake, which had a magnitude of 7.9 on the Richter scale.

However, the fault hasn’t produced any documented quakes bigger than magnitude 6 between Parkfield and Hollister. Geoscientists have dug down the fault, looking for traces of long-ago earthquakes in the shape of sediment layers, but they have found no big quakes in the last 2,000 years.

Even if the central San Andreas does not generate enough stress to cause a big earthquake, Coffey believes it could operate as a conduit for quakes originating on the northern or southern sections of the fault. She and her colleagues wished to travel back over 2,000 years.

To do so, the researchers took use of the fact that when a defect slips, it causes friction, which causes heat to be generated.

This heat has the potential to raise the temperature of the rocks in the fault by almost 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit (1,000 degrees Celsius). Temperature fluctuations can also alter the structure of organic molecules that collect in sediments.

Historical earthquakes

The scientists examined a sediment core dug in the middle of San Andreas as part of the San Andreas Fault Observatory at Depth (SAFOD) project. The researchers discovered a region deep in the core, roughly 1.9 miles below (3,192 to 3,196 meters), where the biomarkers indicated evidence of warmth.

Coffey and her colleagues revealed in the journal Geology on February 25 that this zone of the fault may have hosted more than 100 earthquakes.

The researchers next used potassium-argon dating to examine the quake-damaged portion of the rock. This approach makes use of the fact that potassium-40, a naturally radioactive variant of potassium, slowly decays into argon gas.

This gas is emitted when anything heats the rock, resetting the “potassium-argon clock” to zero. The researchers were able to calculate how long it had been since the rocks had been heated by looking at the argon buildup.

Their findings showed that the heating occurred at least 3 million years ago. However, the quakes might have been much more recent, according to Coffey. Coffey’s associates are now working on refining the potassium-argon technique for earthquake dating to narrow down that time frame.

However, the magnitude of the heating suggests that the central San Andreas can withstand significant shaking – earthquakes reported in this area of the fault are likely to have had magnitudes ranging from the mid-6s to the low-7s, according to Coffey.

“The work we accomplished was the first direct geologic proof of earthquakes” in this San Andreas region, she added.

The quakes most likely began on the southern end of the fault and accelerated along the faultline like a zipper unzipping. Knowing that the fault has this capacity is critical for comprehending the earthquake risk in central California, according to Coffey.

The researchers intend to apply the potassium-argon approach to additional faults, including those in New Zealand bedrock, where there is no organic material for standard carbon-14 dating (which only goes back around 55,000 years) and no sedimentary layers to reveal the signs of extremely old earthquakes.

“The potassium-argon approach is pretty intriguing,” Coffey said, “because it allows us to access a wide range of faults that we haven’t been able to date.”

Abraham Quintanilla, the late Selena Quintanilla-father, Perez claims a new Selena record will be released next month, nearly three decades after her untimely death.

Quintanilla told Latin Groove News that the album, which is being produced by Warner Music, will have 13 songs and that Selena’s brother, A.B. Quintanilla, worked on it.

“What surprises me and Suzette, my family, A.B., is that 26 years later, the public still remembers Selena; they haven’t let go of her,” Quintanilla added, referring to Selena’s sister, Suzette. “They’ve been waiting for something like this to come out, and I think the public will enjoy it.”

  2. Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant acted as horny prepubescent boys in the show. Though their performance seems quite random than funny. They acted so fast that the audience didn’t get time to think about the jokes. That’s why many viewers think these jokes were not funny enough. Still, they like “The Batman” director Paul Dano hiding under the couch. As they are trying to find a cat present for Zoe, their comedy timing was quite funny though.
  3. People loved the White House Tiktoker meeting premise as it is based on the facts that are happening right now. As we all know Facebook and Other social media services are banned in Russia, only TikTok is available; so it was quite hilarious to watch tiktokers giving solutions to the war.
  4. This premise shows Joe Biden is holding a meeting with TikTok stars for security purposes. In the show, Chole is bagging AnnaLynne McCord’s Putin poem and after that, she gestures around with her hands and do the classic TikTok move. We can’t also forget about Jason Darlo’s amazing performance.

There were performances in the show like The Princess and the Frog scene that mocks Disney’s first presentation of the Black Princess story, Starirical commenting on Amazon’s New grab-and-go shopping experience, and many more. If you want you can watch the show on Hulu and Peacock.

Kim Kardashian calls out Kanye West for posting a twisted narrative on his Instagram page about when he will be able to meet his kids. Recently on Monday, Kanye posted a picture of his daughter’s backpack and has written a cryptic message under the post, and then the controversy between Kim and Kanye has started once again.

Under the post, he wrote-

” This was on my daughter’s backpack when I was allowed to meet her last week. This is why I go so hard for my family as I am wired to protect my family at all costs As the priest of my home Don’t worry North God is still alive.”

After seeing the post, Kim directly called out Kanye for posting a fake narrative. She also commented that Kanye picked up the kids in the morning. Though you won’t find this comment anymore as it was deleted.

As per the sources, the divorce between Ye and Kim has taken a bad turn. Kanye is doing everything to get joint custody of his kids.

Kim and Kanye have four children together. They are 8-year old North, 6-year old Saint, 4-year old Chicago, and 2-year old Pslam. Kim filed a divorce against Kanye in February and after divorce on March 11, she changed her status on social media as single.

After that, she conformed to her relationship with Pete Davidson. Kanye is furious about this and he cut off his ties with Pete.

On the other hand, during the Saturday release Radhe Shyam(Telegue) earned  $332,671 from 772 locations. The total gross profit of this film is $1,635,245.

The wait is over for Umbrella Academy fans as Netlfix has confirmed the release date of the show. The show will premiere on Wednesday, June 22 this year. This is one of the waited series of this year.

Umbrella Academy season 2 was launched in June 2020. After the season ended in November Netflix announced season 3 conformation. That’s why fans are eagerly waiting for the series release.

At SXSW, Show head Steve Blackman revealed the release date of season 3 and said it will premiere globally. Though before that, Netflix already posted a short teaser of Umbrella Academy on their official Youtube channel. Netflix has also confirmed the cast.

Season 2 of Umbrella Academy ended on 1963’s doomsday and the timeline was approximately 800 years ago. Therefore season 3 will focus on a different timeline as per the teaser.

The Synopsis:

Moreover, season 3  starts in present. The characters finally return to their home after defeating the initial apocalypse and fixing the god-forsaken timeline once and for all. In episode one, they are celebrating their win.

But after a few moments, they realize things are not exactly the same as how they left them. This season Sparrow Academy is entering into the picture; they are smart, stylish, as warm as a sea of icebergs.

Just after their entry,  as excepted a violent face-off occurs between Sparrow and Umbrella academy. Though soon they realize this is the least of their worries.

Navigation challenges, losses, and surprises of their own-and deal with an unidentified destructive entity that is wreaking havoc in the universe. This entity is may be caused by them when they were arriving home.

Now they need to convince their dad’s new and possibly better family to help them to make things normal again.

Will they be able to find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?- To know the answers you have to wait for the release.

Umbrella Academy is based on a comic book series written by Gerard Way. This web series showcases a dysfunctional family of adapting sibling superheroes who reunites to solve the mystery of their father’s death and the threat of an imminent apocalypse.

Cast:

Like the last two seasons, Umbrella Academy once again features Eliot Page, Tom Harper, David Castaneda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Ritu Arya, Adam Godley, and Colm Feore. Also, Justin H. Min is returning as Ben.

Therefore this season, Justin Cornwell, Britmne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, and Cazzie David are also joining the cast as Sparrows.

Umbrella Academy, a supernatural series is produced by Universal Studio Group for Netflix. Season 3 is produced by Blackman and Jeff F. King, who also directs the series.

This season will also have 10 episodes like the last 2 seasons. Every episode will be one hour long.

Jenkins was nominated for his second DGA Award, following a feature nomination for “Moonlight” in 2016.

Smriti Mundhra took home the award for best children’s programming for her work on HBO Max’s “Through Our Eyes,” “Shelter.” Mundhra was nominated for the DGA Award for the first time.

Adam Vetri won for Discovery’s “Getaway Driver,” “Electric Shock” in reality shows. Vetri received his third DGA Award nomination in 2015 for “Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge,” “Gods of War,” for which he won the DGA Award for Reality.

Paul Dugdale won for CBS’ “Adele: One Night Only” in the variety/talk/news/sports–specials category. It was his first nomination for a DGA Award.

What are the technical specifications and design features of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series?
