The “Aquaman” actress was found guilty of defaming her ex-husband by a jury in Fairfax, Virginia, in a piece she wrote where she claimed she was a victim of domestic abuse. Her ex-husband received $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, while Amber received $2 million in compensatory damages for her countersuit and her lawyer has previously stated that she is unable to pay.
According to a source, OK! Amber believes that her Hollywood career is ended. She is eager about it and has already begun discussions. She wants to spill everything at this point since she has nothing to lose.
It follows Heard’s admission that she is unable to pay the damages Depp, 58, the star of “Pirates of the Caribbean,” was given on June 1 following their six-week defamation trial.
Despite the judge in the pair’s lawsuit tossing the documents, the actress claimed to have a “binder” full of notes from her therapist that she claims has additional proof proving her claims of physical and sexual abuse against Depp.
Heard may get herself into more legal difficulty if she used a book to reiterate her accusations against Depp, according to Dror Bikel, a New York divorce attorney.
He stated OK! : “Depp and his lawyers will read and pay attention to everything Heard says. There is little doubt that she will face another defamation lawsuit and return to court if she exceeds the line.
She was “terrified” to share her side of the story about her marriage to Depp after accusing him of physical and sexual assault, Heard revealed in her first public interview since her trial loss.
“I know the scariest, most terrifying thing for anybody talking about sexual abuse is not being believed, being labeled a liar, or being humiliated,” she continued to “Dateline.” I’m excited to live my life, and I have a long one ahead of me, I hope. And I’ll keep keeping my head up as I go through this.
She expressed her concern that she would face legal action once more for coming out on the same interview on the Today Show. Heard responded, “Of course,” when asked by host Savannah Guthrie if she was anxious about what she could now say. I assumed that I had the right to speak, and I took it for granted.
“I am afraid that no matter what I do, no matter what I say or how I say it, every step that I take will present another potential for silence, which, I suppose, is what a defamation case is designed to accomplish — it is meant to steal your voice,” the plaintiff said.
Later, the Justice League actress was criticized by Depp’s team for participating in the sit-down interview and was charged with fabricating the trial.
