We’ll have to wait a bit for NCIS: Los Angeles season 14 to premiere, but it’s never too early to talk about JAG!
It was the ultimate TV blast from the past when we saw David James Elliott and Catherine Bell as Harmon Rabb and Sarah MacKenzie on this episode. These characters were instrumental in launching a brand that currently includes four separate NCIS series, as well as a fifth in production at Paramount+ based in Australia! It’s astounding to consider, yet there’s still so much more we want from these people now.
Of course, bringing Harm and Mac on board NCIS: LA is no easy task, especially because they both have their own projects and you want to make sure their investments pay off. Nonetheless, there’s a decent possibility it’ll happen! R. Scott Gemmill, the showrunner, recently told TV Insider that he’d want to see Elliott and Bell on the programme.
We know that there are already plans in the works to bring a key character back to NCIS: Los Angeles in the form of Hetty, who is legally still a regular, even if it doesn’t always seem that way. Given the possibility that season 14 may be the show’s final season, we strongly urge for bringing on as many huge names and amazing characters as possible — and another visit from Harm and Mac would be the icing on the cake.
NCIS Los Angeles has been on the air for almost a decade and continues to draw in new viewers every week. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, though, that the CBS drama has already been renewed for a 14th season.
The show’s comeback was announced in March, with the network claiming that it had averaged 7.5 million viewers this season. This wasn’t the only piece of good news for lovers of the whole NCIS franchise.
In the same press release, CBS disclosed that the original NCIS mothership has been renewed for a 20th season. NCIS Hawaii, the most recent spin-off, will also return for a second season. So, from all three programmes, there will be plenty more NCIS investigations to look forward to. There hasn’t been any mention of an official comeback date for NCIS Los Angeles as of yet.
While no official start date for Season 14 has been announced, it is widely assumed that the drama will return later this year.
NCIS LA has traditionally premiered in October, and this could very well be the case for the upcoming season. NCIS and NCIS Hawaii are expected to return around the same time, with past start dates around September. One of the agents was in great danger in the penultimate episode of Season 13.
