What will the third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba cover?
The ninth arc of the original manga, titled the Swordsmith Village Arc, will be adapted for the third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

The bad news first. Between the first and second seasons of Demon Slayer, there was a two-and-a-half-year break, and we predict the same for the third season.
While the third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village has yet to be confirmed, we expect it to be released in the fall of 2023.
Following his climactic battle with the Upper Rank Six demons Daki and Gyutaro at the end of the Entertainment District Arc, Tanjiro travels to a community of swordsmiths to have his Nichirin Sword repaired. The Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, who were introduced in episode 21 of the first season, will appear in this season.
Who will produce Season 3 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba?
Haruo Sotozaki, who directed Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s first and second seasons as well as the feature-length film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, is expected to return to direct the third season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Akira Matsushima, the character designer and main animation director, will also return. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc will be produced once more by anime studio Ufotable.

Crunchyroll and Ufotable released the first trailer for the anime in April 2022. While the most of the video is a rehash of the show’s prior arcs, it does include a few key glimpses of the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, and Tanjiro holding what looks to be a reforged Nichirin sword.
Although nothing has been confirmed, we can anticipate the release of Demon Slayer season 3 in 2023. We had anticipated that Fall 2022 would be a distinct possibility, but in the COVID age, that seems implausible. If that’s the case, a Spring 2023 release (about April 2023) or a Fall 2023 release (September-October 2023) are all possibilities.

However, we’re unlikely to hear a response to this question until closer to the show’s actual release date, and we’re even less likely to learn anything about it before the release date is revealed.
Crunchyroll now has Demon Slayer available to watch. Given the recent merger with Funimation, we expect Demon Slayer season 3 to follow suit and be streamed there as well. In some territories, Netflix customers can watch the first season right now.
