After that, his half-hour specials “Songs of Our Success,” which aired in 2001 and 2003, earned him Emmy Awards. In 1997, he recorded a three-part report on the year-long recovery program of the Los Angeles Mission, which was selected for a Los Angeles zone Emmy grant.

The mission of Hope, a half-hour news special, was made from these reports later. They received a Golden Mike Award for Best Documentary, a national Iris Award for Best Current Affairs, and a National Emmy nomination in 1998.

Health

Tony revealed on his Facebook account on February 21, 2020, the reason he was off the air for a few weeks. He said that the right side of his face was partially paralyzed when he woke up two weeks before he was hospitalized, and he later was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy.
