“Call of Duty: Warzone 2 – A Bumpy Launch Hinders a Potentially Bright Future, According to Review”

A new-fangled video gives an overview of discussions apprehended between some prevalent Call of Duty: Warzone 2 content inventors and developers Infinity Ward and Raven Software preceding the launch of Season 2, and suggestions at the possibility of vicissitudes to the game’s TTK. Even as Warzone 2 continues to obtain decidedly mixed reviews from many troupes, recent leaks hint at the possible onset of a new mainline Call of Duty game in 2023.

Out for PC and consoles in late 2022, Infinity Ward in addition to Raven Software’s free-to-play Battle Royale development Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has had a tumultuous primary few months of existence due to countless technical issues and unpopular gameplay decisions. Player complaints around the shooter ranged from anger over the switch to a 2v2 mode for Gulag fights, an alteration later reversed with the return of 1v1 in Season 2, to the move away from the general Caldera map.

One of the biggest points of disagreement for many fans of the original game has been Warzone 2’s wild TTK, or time-to-kill, which some troupes feel leans too heavily in favor of casual gamers.

In a new video common to YouTube, Call of Duty content creator Whos Immortal gave viewers an indication of talks he had with Warzone 2 developers Immensity Ward and Raven Software ahead of the introduction of the game’s second season.

One main topic of discussion at this summit was the fast TTK in Warzone 2, with Whos Immortal averring that the developers were well mindful of the complaints from some gamers about the speed with which a group of actors can take down opponents. Bestowing on the video, Infinity Ward and Raven Software feel that the recent TTK is at a good place right now, but supplementary that it is not set in stone.

While some troupes of the free-to-play shooter may be excited to hear that vagaries to the game’s TTK aren’t out of the question, the video enlarges that any potential changes would have to be considered contrary to the enjoyment of the overall player base.

Although gamers who take portion in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 tournaments and extra high-level play are some of the sternest proponents of an increased TTK, the designers point out that this would have an unduly negative impact on Warzone 2’s predominantly casual player base. So, though TTK changes are on the table, they’re unlikely to be as drastic as some players would desire.
