Allison Payne was born on February 12, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in a family of six kids and her parents were both educators. Payne graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Communications.
When she completed her college studies from this college so she started working as an anchor and news reporter for the WGN-TV news channel. She worked there till 2002 a long and valuable contribution to WGN-TV since she joined it in 1984.
Later she quit her job there as she wants to make her career in writing and public speaking. She has since authored two books, “The Wisdom of Dad: Lessons Learned from Life and Fatherhood” and “Allison’s Journey: My Triumph over Breast Cancer.”
Allison is also a popular motivational speaker, sharing her personal story of overcoming adversity with audiences around the country. In addition to her broadcasting and writing career, Allison is also an active philanthropist.
