Are Jennifer Lopez and Marc Not Wealthy Enough to Pay for the Nanny? Nanny Claims to Be Suffering by Them

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony had a brief relationship in 1998, and after juggling several relationships in between, they were wed in an intimate ceremony in Jennifer’s Beverly Hills home in early June 2004. Emme Maribel Muiz and Maximilian David Muiz, fraternal twins, were brought into the world in 2008. The divorce was reportedly formalized in 2014 after the couple’s separation was made public, and they had decided to co-parent their twins.

Being a celebrity and a parent at the same time is quite difficult for them, thus there are many stressful parts of celebrity life, not only at work but also at home. The previous couple nearly entirely relied on their housekeeper to take care of their twins.

After working for the couple for more than ten years, the housekeeper later sued them for unpaid compensation.

Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez did not pay their maid despite having a combined $500 million fortune.

Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez required additional help with the twins due to their hectic schedules. They agreed to pay the service provider $2,250 per week. The reports indicated that things didn’t get off to the best of starts. Due to the long hours required, they had a tough time hiring a nanny, despite the fact that their maid had been working for them for more than ten years at the time.

The National Enquirer claims that

In general, people who earn a lot of money and have a lot of social and professional responsibilities hire nannies for each child, especially infants. But it seems that Jennifer anticipates that one nanny will look after both twins and put in 16-hour days every day, seven days a week.

Apparently, the first nanny barely lasted one week due to the demanding workload. Nanny number two was an improvement, but her schedule was once again too demanding, so the former couple was left without a nanny for their children.

Later, in 2018, Concetta Graziosi, their cleaner, filed a $500K lawsuit against Marc Anthony. She alleged in her lawsuit that she was never paid for overtime or vacation time. The housekeeper filed a lawsuit against Anthony in Brooklyn Federal Court alleging that he made her work up to 80 hours a week without paying overtime. The housekeeper suffered because the former couple, although having a $500M income, underpaid their maid and insisted that she work additional hours.

Marc Anthony and the former maid reached a $500k settlement.

According to rumors, Marc Anthony and the former maid Concetta Graziosi reached a private mediation settlement in 2019 for $500K on claims of unpaid pay. In October 2018, Graziosi brought a case against in Brooklyn federal court against Anthony.

She claimed that from 2005 until the estate was sold in 2017, she worked nonstop when cleaning up after Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, and their children in Brookville, New York, earning $2,000 every two weeks, she claimed.

The lawsuit claimed that despite the hourly and delayed vacation wages,

Graziosi occasionally performed unpaid family grocery shopping prior to the start of her official shift.

After several months of discussions, Anthony came to an understanding and offered to pay his old maid $500K, and the lawsuit was resolved in 2019.
