Early Life

David Muir is a famous American journalist and ABC news anchor. Born on 8 November, 1973. He has three siblings, two brothers and one sister. His father was a carpenter and mother a teacher. He done his schooling from Onondaga Central Junior-Senior High School in NewYork.

Education

He then went on to study at the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism in 1995.

After college, Muir began his career as a reporter for WTVH-TV in Syracuse. He then worked as a local reporter for WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire, before joining ABC News in 2003 as a national correspondent based in Boston.

Over the years, Muir has reported on major news events such as the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, the 2010 Haiti earthquake, and the Japan earthquake and tsunami.

Journey With ABC News

In 2011, he was named the lead correspondent for ABC News’ coverage of the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. In 2014, Muir was named anchor of ABC’s World News Tonight after Diane Sawyer stepped.

Muir has been with ABC News since 2003, and prior to his current role, he served as the weekend anchor for World News Tonight and as a substitute anchor for Diane Sawyer on ABC’s flagship evening newscast.

Muir began his journalism career while still in college, interning at local television stations in Boston and Washington, D.C. After graduation, he worked as a reporter and weekend anchor at WTVH-TV in Syracuse before joining WCVB-TV in Boston as a weekday reporter in 2000.

He soon began appearing on Good Morning America and World News Tonight, eventually becoming a regular substitute anchor for Diane Sawyer on World News Tonight. In 2011, Muir was named the weekend anchor of World News Tonight;

he became the program’s primary anchor in September 2014 following Diane Sawyer’s departure from ABC News.A respected journalist with extensive experience in both print and broadcast news, David Muir is one of the most trusted voices on television today.

He is currently the anchor of ABC World News Tonight, and he also serves as a correspondent for ABC News. He graduated from Onondaga Central High School in 1991 and then went on to study at Park School of Communications at Ithaca College.

After college, Muir began his career as a news producer for WTVH-TV in Syracuse. From there, he went on to work as a reporter and weekend anchor for WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire.In 2003, Muir made the move to network television when he joined ABC News as a national correspondent based in Boston.
