Shocking! Blue Lock Episode 1 Review: Soccer Meets Squid Game, Newly Updates

Blue Lock is one of the most anticipated non-sequel anime of the Fall anime season. This one-of-a-kind sports series is well-known for deconstructing numerous traditional sports genre tropes. It avoids incorporating the power of relationships into the game while emphasizing the importance of selfishness in sports. Blue Lock sends hundreds of forwards to the titular, twisted training camp in the hopes of emphasizing the “me” in the team.

Yoichi Isagi’s story is told in Blue Lock. Yoichi begins to doubt the sports philosophy instilled in them after losing a crucial match that might have brought his team to the national tournament. He begins to speculate on what might have happened if he had taken the last shot rather than passing it to his teammate.

However, it is too late for that now. He cannot change the course of history. His mother then hands him an invitation from the Japan Football Union. It’s an open invitation to the aforementioned program. After Episode 1, this is everything we know well about the Blue Lock program.

Blue Lock Is a Well-Funded Project

The players chosen to take part in the Blue Lock project are notified by an official letter delivered to their homes. The letters come from the Japan Football Union, indicating that the organization is in support of the project. Even though there is no direct mention of the program’s budget, there are numerous hints that it is not insignificant.

The venue for the program appears to have been designed specifically for the project, and it can accommodate 300 young athletes. It also has the equipment needed for Ego Jinpachi to carry out his bizarre training methods. Despite being invited to the training program, the chosen athletes are not asked to pay anything. In short, the project will cover not only the maintenance costs of the facility but also each player’s living expenses for the duration of the program.

Blue Lock Is A Training Camp Like No Other

The Blue Lock program is a training camp for its participants, but everything about it is ordinary. Ego Jinpachi, the person in charge of overseeing and managing the program, appears to believe that the worst egomaniacs make the best strikers. As a result, Blue Lock’s main goal is to bring that level of egotism to the selected athletes.

His strategy for achieving that vision is to pit all 300 strikers against each other and force them to survive the Blue Lock trials. The winner of the program is guaranteed to be on the top of the world, while those who are eliminated are permanently effectively banned from representing Japan.
