Based on Kugane Maruyama’s and so-bin’s eponymous light novel series, Overlord is a Japanese anime television series. Under Naoyuki It’s direction, Madhouse produced the series. From July 7 to September 29, 2015, Overlord aired in Japan on AT-X, with additional broadcasts by Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, and BS11.
The story of the show is about an online role-playing game that takes on a life of its own after its servers stop working for good. The only player who is still logged in becomes the terrifying lich character of the show, who is trying to keep the world’s races in balance.
