The manga series is written by Satoshi Mizukami and published in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment. The storyline portrays Yuuhi Amamiya as a young college student who suddenly one day wakes up to find a lizard on his bed and it explains that she has been chosen as a Beast Knight who is destined to help a Princess defeat a Mage.
The ultimate aim is to destroy the world with a giant mallet floating in space called the Biscuit Hammer though the mindset changed when he meets the Princess, Samidare Asahina who later revealed to him that she intended to defeat the mage and save the world.

The opening theme song of the anime is “Gyoko” performed by Half Time Old and the ending theme song is “Reflexion” by SpendyMily. You meet Samidare on the way back from work and they become angry at Hisame that later turns out that Hisame has a younger sister named Samidare.
