WHEN WILL AYUMU MAKE HIS MOVE :
The series is directed by Mirai Minato announced on January 8, 2021, with the opening theme song “Kakehiki wa Poker Face” by Kana Hanazawa, while the ending theme song is “50 Centi” by Kanna Nakamura.
Yaotome is the president of the shogi club at her high school and she is kinda convinced that Ayumu, an underclassman has a huge crush on her. They gradually after a point got together to play shogi after school, to confess their feelings is a big task that is not coming to terms with for a long time.

Ultimately Ayumu has made a pact with himself to reveal his love after he’s beaten Yaotome at shogi for the first time so the series takes a twisted turn.
Ayumu Tanaka and Urushi Yaotome are members of the school shogi club. Ayumu tells Urushi she is cute . by the first match. Urushi thinks of Ayumu being invited into the kendo club but she is relieved when he tells her that he will stay with her.
After being ditched by a friend for joining the club after getting a boyfriend, Urushi asks Ayumu what would he do in that situation. His answer makes Urushi think that he would like her as a girlfriend, but Ayumu remains fixed on his promise and the decision remains firm.
The manga was nominated for the 6th Next Manga Awards and placed 3rd out of the 50 nominees in 2020.
As the series proceeds Ayumu falls in love but resolves not to confess his feelings until he can beat his senpai in a game of shogi.
