Horizon: Kevin Michael Costner
He is an American actor, producer, and film director.
Costner made his film debut in the film Sizzle Beach U.S.A. The most recent album released by Kevin Costner and Modern West was written by Costner and his co-writers from the perspective of John Dutton, Costner’s character on the hit TV series.
Kevin Costner has also appeared in the documentary film Country Roads by Marieke Schroder.
Revealing about his project planned as “four different movies”, he told Variety: “They’re all different films that all connect, so you’re watching a saga of these storylines that are happening.” With different perspectives.
The big plans of Kevin Costner were revealed and his long-awaited fourth directorial effort “Horizon,” an epic western will take a new step and go into production at the end of August with a western twist.
Costner said the film is currently casting and trying to fill up upto170 speaking roles for a successful production.
He has received two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe awards, and two Screen Actors Guild awards.
Costner described the project as an “event television movie” with the film being split into four parts but the final decision will be with the big-screen production for streaming.
The genre of the movies is most likely to be: adventures, romances, comedies, historical tales, and social commentaries. Dutton family ranch is the real-life Chief Joseph Ranch. Yellowstone is filmed at the Chief Joseph Ranch in Darby, Montana.
There was an announcement in April, that “Horizon” is Costner’s first directorial project since western “Open Range” in 2003. Costner’s two other films were “The Post Man” (1997), in which he starred as a drifter who dons a postman uniform to explore America, and the American Civil War-era classic “Dances with Wolves”, which earned Costner the best director prize at the 1991 Oscars, along with six other Academy Awards which was a great success and an achievement.
Production on Horizon has not yet begun, we can expect to see the first iteration of the project in late 2023 or 2024 so the mystery is yet to be revealed so stay tuned for more information on the same.
