The Elder Scrolls Online:
Multi-player online role-playing game The Elder Scrolls Online is developed by ZeniMax Online Studios. Online was released for Windows and OS X in April 2014 and is a part of the Elder Scrolls series.
With a record of 18 million copies being sold in 2021 and a total of 2.5 million active players monthly in 2017. The game does not provide a model for single-player offline play. There is a choice between ten different races:
Human: Bretons, Redguards, Imperials, and Nords.
Bestial races: Argonians and Khajiit.
Elvish races: Bosmer, Altmer, Orsimer and Dunmer.
There are a total of seven crafting skill lines:
- Alchemy
- Provisioning
- Clothier
- Blacksmithing
- Jewelry crafting
- Woodworking
HeroEngine is used as a whiteboard for games in development while the engine was still in development. Some circumstances stated that the game was scheduled to release at E3 2012 in June while the Quakecon was in August.
Though there was an announcement that Playstation plus subscription won’t be required to play online. The Elder Scrolls online monthly subscription would be required in addition to the Xbox Live to play the game virtually.
There was a ban on thousands of accounts permanently because of an exploit- announced by ZeniMax. Guild and Glory DLC pack was released for the users who already own the base game. Subscriptions could be purchased in 30, 90, and 180 days.
Four major DLCs include Imperial city, Thieves guild, Dark brotherhood, and Orsinium. Sunspire was launched as a way of a new trial. The Imperial city prison is overrun by the forces of Daedric Prince Bal with every district being merged to provide a realistic touch. There are a touch of two dungeons that were released on August 14, 2017- Falkreath Hold and Bloodroot Forge.
Dragonhold was released on Windows and Mac on October 21 in 2019. The dark heart of Skyrim storyline is included by Castle Thorn and Stone garden with the main story full of twists and turns with likable protagonists. Elders scroll is still available to stream with 20-30K daily active players. Homestead comes in both furnished as well as unfurnished versions. The biggest city is Clockwork city with enemy-filled areas. This offers a deep crafting trade as a part of the player economy.
Summerset won the award for Outstanding Video game that would have been rebranded as the Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. Elder Scrolls is ranked the best-selling downloadable Playstation 4 game with the sixth best-selling game of June 2015.
The stimulations have brought a wide difference with changes in the portrayal of the variety. There was also an announcement in 2019 that the game reached 13.5 million players in its lifetime.
