Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez, who made her long-awaited debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is another new Young Avengers character just released by Marvel Studios. In this sequel, America dealt with Earth-616’s sorcerers for the first time, laying the groundwork for her to become a vital new player in the Avengers lineup in the future.

Doctor Strange 2 mostly featured her alongside Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange as they searched the Multiverse for a method to put an end to Wanda’s reign of terror in his own realm. While Gomez’s heroine had limited contacts with Wong and Wanda’s twin sons from an alternate reality, she still has plenty of relationships to develop as she progresses beyond her first MCU film.

While it’s unclear when or where Gomez will return as America Chavez, there’s no doubt she’ll be back in action soon, especially now that she understands her abilities. Now, due to a recent interview, Gomez has revealed some of the main players with whom she hopes to collaborate when she returns for the second time.

After Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, America Chavez star Xochitl Gomez revealed who she wishes to engage with in future MCU films on the D23 Inside Disney podcast.

After mentioning Elizabeth Olsen and Benedict Cumberbatch, her Multiverse of Madness co-stars, she moved on to Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. Gomez commended Hemsworth’s charisma while lamenting the fact that there aren’t many original Avengers remaining in the franchise following the events of the Infinity Saga:

Gomez also mentioned how great it was to see Cumberbatch dressed up as Doctor Strange, which meant a lot to her because she’s been a long-time MCU fan. Seeing the Doctor Strange star on set in her America Chavez costume offered her some great moments, putting the scale of the film into perspective:

Gomez then moved on to Scarlet Witch actor Elizabeth Olsen, who Gomez said as “such a pro” for her ability to handle some really dramatic moments while keeping things light on set, leaving Gomez speechless:

When Will America Chavez Make a Comeback?

Xochitl Gomez continues to demonstrate her devotion to the MCU as a whole, especially given her pivotal role in Doctor Strange 2 with Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen. She even appears to be quite the historian with her crossover choices, as Hemsworth and Hiddleston have already been a part of the franchise for almost a decade.

Given that Loki and America Chavez are both familiar with the Multiverse, there is a chance that they will meet paths in some form or another in the future. Even though Loki was expected to appear alongside America in Doctor Strange 2, that didn’t happen, the idea is nevertheless intriguing to consider with these two characters involved.
