Doctor Strange 3 Confirmed Coming in 2022, SHOCKING, Truth or Rumors Revealed

Doctor Strange 3 has yet to be officially announced by Marvel, but the sorcerer is expected to return.

Despite the fact that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness received mixed reviews, a Marvel sequel has always been confirmed, especially when high film office numbers are projected.

The post-credit scenes are one of Marvel’s unique selling points. After witnessing the post-credit scenes of each Marvel movie, we get a sense of what the upcoming film is based on. Two post-credit scenes have been confirmed for Marvel Studios’ upcoming film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Here’s all we know about a third Doctor Strange film thus far.

With Doctor Strange 2 ending on not one, but two cliffhangers, it’s unclear if this will be Cumberbatch’s final solo film. However, if Doctor Strange 3 is approved, the sequel sets up a lot for the third installment.

Benedict Cumberbatch reprises his role as the titular superhero with Elisabeth Olsen and Benedict Wong, with new superheroine America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) and a slew of surprise appearances rounding out the cast.

Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, and Elisabeth Olsen all reprised their roles as the titular superhero in the sequel.

As previously stated, Marvel has yet to formally greenlight a third solo outing for the surgeon-turned-sorcerer. However, we are informed (in James Bond manner) at the end of the credits that “Doctor Strange will return.”

Many Marvel Cinematic Universe films have one post-credit scene, while some have two. Because the post-credit scene is Marvel’s specialty, they make every effort to make it the best it can be. It has been confirmed that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness features two post-credit scenes. On May 6th, 2022, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released in theaters.

It’s unclear if this will be in a standalone film or as a cameo in another MCU film, but we’re betting on both.

Be prepared for spoilers if you want to know how the end credit scene sets up the threequel, but there are no other major Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness spoilers here. Here’s all we know so far regarding a Doctor Strange 3 sequel.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is rumored post-credit scene

Bruce Campbell’s character in the Illuminati universe makes jokes of his pizza balls in the post-Credit sequence. Nothing significant, just a humorous scene. Strange and America Chavez travel through many various Universes until they find one that is utopic, and Bruce Campbell makes a brief appearance in the film. Strange and Chavez make their way toward the Sanctum Sanctorum. They pass past a street vendor selling pizza balls on their route, and Bruce Campbell makes a cameo appearance.

Other reports suggest that following the events of Multiverse of Madness, Strange is asleep and has a vision in which he sees himself training an apprentice, a wrecked New York City, a dead Wong, Dormammu’s sister Umar, and a sight of Kang the Conqueror. He then awakens with the third eye, hearing Clea’s voice say, “Help me.”

The possible release date for Doctor Strange 3: When will Doctor Strange 3 hit theaters?

Given that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is still in theaters and a third feature has yet to be announced, all bets are off on this one.

However, Kevin Feige has stated that Disney is planning for the next 10 years of films, thus Doctor Strange 3 will almost certainly be included. We are hoping.

Who will return for the third installment of Doctor Strange?

Without Benedict Cumberbatch as Steven Strange, there would be no Doctor Strange 3. Before hanging up their spandex, most Marvel stars have completed three solo films. The one exception is Chris Hemsworth as Thor, who has made it all the way to number four.

Furthermore, it’s difficult to conceive a threequel without Sorcerer Supreme Wong — and, given his frequent appearances in past MCU films, we expect Wong to stick around for a while.

Wanda, nicknamed Scarlet Witch, as played by Elizabeth Olsen, has completed her story arc with Doctor Strange. However, now that Marvel has entered the universe, there is always the possibility of more.

Christine Palmer, played by Rachel McAdams, could also make an appearance.

Doctor Strange 3 might also feature Xochitl Gomez, who makes her MCU debut as the multiverse-hopping America Chavez. That doesn’t rule out the possibility of her participating in subsequent films, especially since we haven’t heard anything about a Young Avengers feature (in which she’d most certainly play a key role).

Now for some spoilers, so if you haven’t seen the movie yet, stop reading after the photo.

The appearance of Charlize Theron as Clea, Strange’s love interest and ultimate wife in the comics, is seen in the mid-credit scene. He agrees to assist her in repairing an invasion that he caused with his multiverse pranks.

So Theron will undoubtedly return in the threequel (assuming it happens), and she may also appear in future projects.

Take your pick from the rest of the MCU’s ever-growing ensemble of characters! Even the deceased! The possibilities in the multiverse are boundless! God be with us, everyone.

Nobody knows who will return behind the scenes. The first film was directed by Scott Derrickson, who was intended to direct the sequel as well, but Sam Raimi took over midway through production.

Doctor Strange 3 plot: What will happen in Doctor Strange 3?

As previously stated, the key cliffhanger from the sequel is Clea’s entrance into the multiverse, requiring Strange’s assistance to resolve an incursion.

Unless it’s resolved before the third film, the next Doctor Strange film will most likely be based on this. We thought the same thing about the Mordo tease in the first film’s post-credits scene, but it hasn’t materialized… yet.

The threequel might be about anything now that the universe is a thing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The possibilities are virtually unlimited, and several MCU projects could have an impact on the threequel.

Marvel still has plenty of comic book material to mine, as well as plenty of multiverse hijinks to engage in if they so desire.

Doctor Strange 3 footage: Is there any Doctor Strange 3 footage?

Obviously, no footage for the yet-to-be-confirmed Doctor Strange 3 exists. For now, you may watch the first Doctor Strange film on Disney+ or go to the movies to catch Doctor Strange 3!

In theaters currently comes Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Doctor Strange is currently available to watch on Netflix.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be a big film. Doctor Strange (2016), Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision, and Spider-Man: No Way Home are all sequels to this film. This is the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 28th film and the eleventh installment of Phase 4. Doctor Strange, Wanda, and other Marvel characters appear in a variety of forms. On May 6th, 2022, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released in theaters.
