Batwoman has come to an end. According to TVLine, the Arrowverse series has been canceled after three seasons.

The hit CW series Batwoman is in a similar situation. In March 2022, the critically acclaimed TV series starring Ruby Rose and Rachel Skarsten released its final episode.
What’s the Story Behind This TV Show?
Javicia Leslie, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson, Victoria Cartagena, Robin Givens, and Nick Creegan star in the Batwoman TV show, which airs on The CW network. The show is based on the DC Comics character Kate Kane (Ruby Rose), a powerful woman who had no intention of becoming Gotham City’s new vigilante, Batwoman. Kate vanished, and Ryan Wilder (Leslie) found her Batsuit and assumed the mantle. In season three, Ryan strives to defend Gotham’s disadvantaged areas, and she and the Bat Team are tasked with tracking down Batman’s scattered trophies, a collection of things stolen from the city’s most notorious criminals, before they fall into the wrong hands. Ryan is also dealing with the news that her birth mother, Alice (Skarsten), is still alive.

This season, Batwoman had roughly 760,000 total viewers and a 0.2 demo rating (with Live+7 DVR playback considered in), down about 20% from its sophomore run and ranked No. 13 in that category out of the 19 dramas The CW has aired this TV season. It also had the 13th-largest DVR increase (+66%) among the CW group.
Season 3 ended with Ryan, with the help of Alice, apparently curing Marquis of his Joker identity by utilizing the Joker Buzzer on him. The Bat Team also prevented the Joker from dumping acid bombs over Gotham by diverting the loaded blimp to a less populated region. While they saved many lives, the explosion may have given rise to a new enemy. A mystery stranger viciously murdered journalist Dana Dewitt before limping away in the last moments of the program.
Ratings for Season Three
In the 18-49 demographic, Batwoman’s third season averaged a 0.09 rating and 458,000 viewers in live+same day ratings (includes all DVR playback through 3:00 AM). In comparison to season two, that’s a 28 percent drop in the demo and an 8% drop in viewership. While these figures do not account for additional delayed or streamed viewing, they are a good estimate of how well a show is doing, especially when compared to other shows on the same channel. Other economic considerations may influence a show’s fate, but higher-rated series are more likely to be renewed, while lower-rated shows are more likely to be terminated. Will Batwoman be canceled or renewed for a fourth season on The CW? Last season, despite not being a top-tier performance, this show outperformed a lot of other CW shows. Now that it’s no longer running on Sunday nights, I have a feeling it might rise in the CW ratings. For the time being, I believe it will be renewed.
