So it’s goodbye for Julian McMahon. It’s welcome for Dylan McDermott. ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ wasted no time lining up a replacement for its departing series lead. McMahon’s final episode as team leader Jess LaCroix is slated for March 8, and new star McDermott had made his debut in April.

No details are available yet on McDermott’s character. A veteran of ‘The Practice and ‘American Horror Story’ McDermott already knows his way around the Dick Wolf universe, at least on the side of pure evil.
Right now, McDermott is recurring as smarmy crime boss Richard Wheatley on NBC’s ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’. And then he will replace ultimate good guy Jess LaCroix. McMahon announced his departure from ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ on Saturday after starring in the CBS spinoff for all three seasons since its January 2020 debut.
The actor said in a statement, “Over the past few months, the producers and I have had discussions about my departure from the show in favor of the additional creative pursuits. These ongoing conversations have allowed us to orchestrate a seamless and productive way for me to leave the show.”
McDermott’s long-waited debut is coming as a lead role on FBI: Most Wanted. The show will bring a series of tragic events and complicated cases like murder. Actor Mc Dermott shared his first-day experience that worked out beautifully. McDermott exclaimed that he felt like new guy stuff in their first meet with other actors and the crew members. Something Duckworth. But overall it all went well.
“Covenant” is the name given to the first episode in which all the new characters are introduced to the series. Show producer David Hudgins has promised the fans that Remy Scott will rejoin the task force and fulfill the losses that were caused by the death of Jess. Remy in this episode will take charge and find out about the series of murders and investigate it.
Dylan McDermott entering the show for sure signals that he is coming for a long run in FBI: Most Wanted. The show is already successful enough that it will easily overcome the crossovers and continue its legacy in the 2022-2023 season too.
Last week while talking to a press McDermott talked about his tragic incident in the show. He said that he loved working on that scene. He said that he worked over that scene for a couple of weeks. He also exclaimed that his most of his acting skills are unnoticed, as it is performed in his bathtub. It was quite a hilarious incident.
