Cape Coral Police Department is warning of a text message that looks like it’s from your bank. We have received several reports about banks accounts getting compromised and people receiving texts asking for personal information such as passwords or credit card numbers! Don’t fall victim to this scam by responding with any sensitive data in regards to finances because if they ever needed proof, now would be the time where you’re likely not going want those photos published online either.”
This is a scam! Don’t fall for it. The text message that looks very similar to the one you would receive from your bank says something about there being issues with accessing funds in an account and offers instructions on how they can be corrected quickly if done correctly… but don’t trust them – this person has accesses all of our personal information including PINs so keep checking daily updates online or contact customer support immediately before any more damage gets done
Rich Kolko is a safety and security specialist with WINK News. He told us how scammers are targeting people, pretending to be their bank! Cape Coral police said they’ve received numerous reports of Suncoast Credit Union accounts being compromised–with money missing from that account.”
“The more specific they become, the scarier it can seem to anyone receiving these scams,” said Kolko.

“You have to be careful. I had one woman tell me she got scammed but was able to close her account before any more money going out of it,” said Kolko, “If you don’t feel comfortable speaking on camera then just let us know how we can help.”
