Check Out the First Episode of Red Table Talk Since the Oscar Awards to See How They Dealt With Will Smith’s Slap.

Red Table Talk returned to Facebook Watch on April 20 with a tease about a possible discussion on the Will Smith smack. Read Jada Pinkett Smith’s take on the matter below.

The Red Table has not yet welcomed the Academy Awards.

Red Table Talk’s comeback was met with one question: Are they going to address it?

There is no such thing at this time.

Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow Smith and mother Adrienne Banfield Norris presented Red Table Talk on Facebook Watch on April 20.

The title card for the broadcast read: “The Smith family has been working on profound healing in the wake of recent events. When the time is right, we’ll share some of what we’ve learned about healing at The Table.”

Will Smith struck Chris Rock on March 27 after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair.

a red title card for a second time, “Meanwhile, The Table will continue to host life-changing stories like those of our tremendously outstanding first guest. Jada, welcome to the party!”

Singer and Hidden Figures actor Janelle Monáe was the first guest to arrive. During the interview, Janelle Smith opened up about the inspirations for her latest book The Memory Librarian: And Other Stories of Dirty Computer, her father’s substance abuse problems, and even invited one of her greatest admirers to sit at the table with her.

On April 19, a video for Red Table Talk’s fifth season previewed visits by Kim Basinger, Ireland Baldwin, and Barbara Corcoran, along with a discussion with Smith kids Jaden and Trey.

We don’t know yet if the patriarch of the Smith family will make an appearance on the show, but he has a long history with the Red Table.

Will and Jada will come on the show in 2020 to discuss Jada’s alleged connection with August Alsina in 2015. When asked about the relationship, Jada acknowledged to having had one, but claimed it occurred when she and Will were still living apart.

According to her, she was “in a lot of pain and really broken” when she appeared on the show. In the course of our relationship, I’ve come to learn that happiness can only be found within oneself.

Throughout the programme, Will was overcome with emotion and stated that their marriage was finished.

“I’d had enough of your a$$. I’d had enough of you “he said. “However, marriages do have that. During this time, we agreed that we would split for a period of time, allowing each of us to work on our own personal happiness. I was convinced that this was the end of the road.”

Of course, the pair was able to work things out.

Red Table Talk airs new episodes on Facebook Watch every Wednesday.
