Fans of Top Gun are about to get their wish come true with the release of its long-awaited sequel. The original film was released back in 1986 and has since become a classic, so it’s only right that we see what adventures await our favorite pilots at Naval Air Station Miramar this time around!

The cast of Top Gun mostly kept their promise that this would be worth the wait. In an interview with Total Film, Kosinski called Kilmer’s return a “huge get” and remained tight-lipped about what we can expect.
The chemistry between Depp and Cruise is what made this project so special for him. He was able to work with an actor of that caliber, see how they interact on screen together in scenes where their characters reunite after many years apart – it’s one moment that stands out amongst all others!

The relationship between Bradley and Maverick is shaping up to be a tense one in the latest trailer. The two have been speaking recently about their pasts, with Bradley telling him that he believes “in you” but not if his dad can’t see it too – ouch!
Michael Ironside will not be returning for the second season of this show. According to him, it’s because his relationship with producer Jerry Bruckheimer isn’t great anymore and he wants more creative control over what projects they work on together in future engagements.”
The funeral scene in the trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence seems like it might be that of Mike “Viper” Metcalf (Tom Skerritt). If fans are correct, then Charlie’s arc from Prometheus would have been left back at square one!
The sequel will also star Jennifer Connelly (A Single Mother) and Ed Harris, who’s playing Maverick’s supervisor – a so-far unnamed rear admiral.
