Boston’s Newest Music Venue, Roadrunner, Set to Open Tuesday in Brighton!!!!

In Boston’s Brighton district, the city’s newest music venue is set to debut on Tuesday.

According to the proprietors, Roadrunner took five years and $20 million to create and is the largest music venue of its sort in New England.
The arena is on Guest Street, near The TRACK at the New Balance sports facility and the Boston Landing development.

The Roadrunner has a 60-foot stage and a 3,500-person capacity.
The arena was planned to open last year, but the COVID-19 epidemic caused it to be postponed.

Billy Strings, a Grammy Award-winning guitarist and bluegrass performer, will perform at the opening event on Tuesday. Billy Strings is scheduled to perform at 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The Shout Syndicate, a Boston-based, volunteer-run fundraising campaign supporting child-led arts programs at proven nonprofit creative youth development organizations in the Greater Boston region, will get $25 from each Billy Strings ticket purchased, according to Roadrunner’s website.

The Shout Syndicate, which is based at The Boston Foundation, collaborates with Boston Creates, the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture’s creative initiative.

The Roadrunner, Boston’s newest music venue, is set to open in Brighton on Tuesday, five years and $20 million later.

According to the proprietors, the facility is the largest concert venue of its sort in New England.

The Roadrunner, on Guest Street, has a 60-foot stage and a 3,500-seat capacity. The venue’s debut event will feature Grammy Award-winning guitarist and artist Billy Strings.

Furthermore, according to the Roadrunner website, $25 from every Billy Strings ticket sold will go to ‘The Shout Syndicate,’ a Boston-based volunteer fundraising campaign for child art projects.

A new facility in Allston-Brighton, designed to hold a standing crowd of 3,500 people, will open Tuesday, just as the thirst for indoor performances returns.

Below you will find a nest. Roadrunner, a 50,000 square-foot performance arena advertised as the largest of its type in New England, is located at the Track at New Balance sports facility on Guest Street.

The venue is designed for masses, with a 60-foot-wide stage, over 30 speakers, and half a dozen bars strewn about. The floor can accommodate 2,000 concertgoers, with an additional 1,500 seats available in the balcony’s seven-tiered rows. A lounge-style seating area is tucked behind the highest chairs, far enough away from the music but not far enough to drown out the sound. Its rear wall is covered in a large “Roadrunner” mural.

According to Josh Bhatti, Boston vice president of The Bowery Presents, which manages the performance hall, the facility cost $20 million to build and took five years to complete. The Bowery first came to the region in 2012 to launch the Sinclair in Harvard Square and has been seeking a second music venue since then. They’re also in charge of reservations at the Royale, a downtown performance theater and nightclub.
