When asked about the possibility of downloadable content, Sloclap marketing manager Felix Garczynski confirmed that there are early plans for additional Sifu single-player modes. However, fans can expect this game’s smaller size to necessitate focusing on one mode in particular – meaning it may not be available at launch or even ever again!
When asked about the possibility of DLC, and whether or not Sifu will receive some kind of multiplayer mode in an interview with Gaming Bolt. Marketing manager Felix Garczynski confirmed that there are early plans for post-release content which can include new single-player challenges but also hints at potential career opportunities should players want more than just this one game themselves by saying “We’re small so we focus on what’s important.”
“Sifu will remain single-player only,” Garczynski told Gaming Bolt. “We are an independent studio with limited means, and we wanted the team to focus on creating an immersive and distinctive single-player experience. We do have additional content planned for post-launch though!”
We may never know what to expect from Sloclap when it comes to post-launch content, but there are still plenty of interesting things they could add. They’ve also revealed that free additional downloadable items will be available after the release date which is even better news!
Sifu is a third-person beat ’em up inspired by kung fu films. The game puts players in the role of a 20-year-old martial artist seeking revenge on men that killed his father, Sifu at a martial arts school; but it also has some interesting twists! For example – when you die (and ages) stronger than before because they grow weaker with each death…but there are consequences too: as we age our bodies become more susceptible t damage from enemies so being cautious will keep us alive longer.
