God Eater Season 2 Release Date, Trailer, Plot & Storyline

The God Eater Season 2 is an anime based on the videogame series developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Animated by Ufotable, God Eater started airing on July 12, 2015. Sometime later, the anime was purchased by MVM Films and season 2 was expected to unfold in 2017. But that never happened.

Based on the popular video game franchise the first installment of The God Eater was a success and otakus all around the world has been waiting for God Eater season2 ever since. They’re hoping that the Aragami battle will continue to keep God Eater’s second installment extremely exciting.

Here’s everything we know about God Eater Season 2.

God Eater Season 2 Release Date

The first installment of God Eater was released six years ago and fans have been waiting for any news concerning God Eater Season 2 ever since. As a celebration of the series’ 10th anniversary (in 2020), they intended to air a new season. However, neither the anime nor the video game series’ official websites have made any promises about a new season. So it’s safe to say that God Eater Season 2 future is still undecided.

God Eater Season 2 Trailer

Since the show’s fate still hangs in peril we don’t have a trailer for God Eater Season 2.

The events of God Eater are set in a dystopian era where humanity is on the verge of extinction. Aragami, hideous monsters capable of taking on any form, now control the world. Aragami are a group of Oracle cells that have just a little awareness of themselves.

Core serves as a source of the intellect for Aragami, which is governed by its actions. They’re so terrifying because they’ll eat anything they come across. In contrast, the only item that they refuse to eat is anything that shares their structure.

The Plot of God Eater Season 2

The fate of God Eater season 2 is still in question. One can, however, draw some easy conclusions about the direction of the plot based on the first season. What do you think God Eater would do if it ever had a follow-up season? Here are some of the most likely adaptation paths for the anime.

The first season included Lindow as the protagonist. Due to the sheer devastating loss of his hand, Lenka is likely to assume the lead part in the movie. There is no doubt in our minds about Lenka’s immense strength. Perhaps God Eater Season 2 might focus on Lenka’s character development.

Anime fans should keep an eye out for Shio, who made his debut in Season 1. If you’ve never heard of Shion, it’s a powerful God Arc. In essence, she is half Aragami and half-human. The mystery surrounding Aragami’s history is one of the primary reasons why fans are impatiently awaiting the release of a second season.

This is why the announcement of a season 2 is so eagerly expected. The Aragami’s origin story could be revealed in a second season if one were to be produced.

The start of the God Eater season 2 would provide new insights into the past as well as a peek into the future. There are a lot of characters in the game who weren’t featured in the anime. Anime fans have been clamoring for more since the first season aired in 2015. At this moment, we can only pray for a new season to come from the show’s creators shortly.
