Valve definitely has the attention of the CSGO community again. After facing major heat from the likes of PUBG and Fortnite, the folks over at Valve have been making some positive changes to CSGO. The latest update set to hit CSGO today brings some incredible additions as well as some major map lineup shuffles. In addition to that, the TEC-9 has become a formidable weapon again.
The most notable update coming to CSGO with this update has to be the positional team voice chat. Traditionally known as VOIP, Valve is finally implementing it’s 3D audio processing to team voice chats too. Players who are indulged into a CSGO match should now be able to hear their team mate’s voice based on their location, adding another level of immersion to an already competitive title.
Furthermore, Valve removed Canals from competitive matchmaking and has added two new, long-awaited maps into casual matchmaking for now. The long-awaited Subzero and Biome maps are now available in casual matchmaking. If you’re intrigued by now, Austria has also been moved to the competitive map pool, something no one asked for.
Regarding the new run and gun CZ75a run and gun plans, it seems like Valve has nerfed the automatic pistol that was causing mayhem on pistol rounds. In contrast, Valve has reduced the inaccuracy of the Tec-9 to make it a more viable option.
The patch notes pertaining to today’s update were retrieved from the official Counter-Strike blog.
