Xiaomi’s definitely killing it when it comes to filling in price gaps. By this moment, it almost seems like quite a deliberate move by Xiaomi to announce yet another budget device for less than $250. Xiaomi’s Mi 6X was already an excellent budget device. But it seems like Xiaomi wants to launch yet another Android One device known as the Mi A2 Lite.
We’ve been expecting the Xiaomi Mi A2 for a while now after Xiaomi carved in some massive success with the Mi A1. But it seems like the fingers are pointing towards a new Android One device Xiaomi intends to launch alongside it.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite made its way on a Polish etailer’s website. According to the Polish site, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite comes with the same internals as the Mi A1. It almost seems like the Mi A1 got a 2018 notch makeover. Expect a Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, a 5.84-inch FHD+ display and a dual camera setup to make sure that its pretty “Twenty Eighteen-ish”.
The rear dual camera setup consists of 12MP + 5MP sensor, along with a 5MP selfie cam embedded into the notch on the front of the device.
Interestingly enough, this new device from Xiaomi carries quite a unique design language apart from that notch. It looks way much more simplistic and seems to be attractive at first glance. If this device comes with a much lower price tag compared to the Mi A2, this device should be really attractive if its hits the $150-$200 price tag, that’s for sure.
