Motorola has been making some excellent strides ever since they decided to give the budget market a run for its money. Their acquisition from Lenovo has simply shown us how well Lenovo wants to keep the Motorola brand alive. Even though Motorola operates in the US, an area where Lenovo hasn’t dived into yet, Lenovo has been keeping their smartphone presence really low which seems to be very smart on their part. Keeping the vibes that Motorola has been come to known for.
The Motorola Z3 Play comes with an decent set of specs for the price if you disregard some of the more well-known “flagship killers”. With the Motorola Z3 Play, you’re getting a Snapdragon 636 SoC, 32 GB / 64 GB ROM, 4 GB RAM and a 6.1″inch FHD+ display powered by a 3000mAh battery.

The Motorola Z3 Play is set to retail for $499 in the US and bring along its Power Pack battery Mod inside of its box, pretty good deal huh?
We could still see Motorola pushing its modular accessories harder than ever, and having one inside of its box should add some confidence for users of the device who are hesitating to pickup a few of those mods.
Since it does feature some decent specs, I do think that the device should be able to captivate a few users with its excellent design and decent internals unless there’s a really tech savvy consumer hunting for a device.
Overall, it seems to be a great release from Motorola. However, you may want to lookout for Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is you’re in Asia that offer similar or better internals for a much lower price.
