Tecent is one of China’s biggest brands, with the company revealing its plans to expanding PUBG onto mobile devices, it seems like the madeness isn’t about to end anytime soon. With PUBG marking its 9th month since its release, the title has sold remarkably well allowing Bluehole, the developers or PUBG to land their title on the Xbox One family of devices as a console exclusive.
Tecent and Bluehole have confirmed their partnership about developing the title for mobile devices. Both parties promise to “optimize the mobile experience such as the shooting feel, server hosting, social networking and competitions that the majority of players care about , and strive to live up to the common expectations of players fans.” reports QQ. Chang-han Kim from Tencent had a few words about their partnership with the South Korean developer saying:
“Thanks to the excellent success of PUBG on the PC and the teamwork between the two teams, the progress of the mobile game preparation is very smooth, and in the near future, Chinese players can enjoy the genuine game anytime, anywhere on the mobile phone. ” – Chang-Han Kim
The Chinese source also reported that the title is expected to release in China first, followed by the rest of the world allowing Chinese gamers to jump into the game first.
While pricing of the title still remains highly unconfirmed, it would be intriguing to see how well both companies manage to pull off the title while retailing its core values for mobile gamers. This is some amazing news indeed.
