2017 is going to be big for the gaming industry. Many much-awaited games and consoles are going to make their way into the market this year. These include the Nintendo Switch and Microsoft’s behemoth, the Xbox Scorpio. Halo’s Development Director, Frank O’Connor, talked about Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Scorpio today.
Xbox Scorpio’s Specs Are “Beefier Than Expected”, According to Halo Director Frank O’Connor
In a NeoGAF post, O’Connor vaguely talked about the Xbox Scorpio. He wrote:
“Haha, although I probably “know” (specs of Xbox Scorpio) in that I might have seen it in a slide or something, it’s literally not something I have time to think about now and I actually couldn’t remember whatever specs I’ve been exposed to even if I was tortured. I literally couldn’t leak or answer a question that went beyond ‘Can I do this?’ ‘Does it support that?’ ‘How many of these could it render?’
What I do remember is that it’s beefier than I expected.”
It seems like O’Connor didn’t pay much attention to the specifications of the Xbox Scorpio but he teased that the Xbox Scorpio’s specifications are beefier than he expected. The Xbox Scorpio is going to be the most powerful console ever made, according to Microsoft. It will have around 6 Teraflops of graphical horsepower. According to Microsoft, the Xbox Scorpio will deliver gaming at “True 4K” resolution.
The Xbox Scorpio will come sometime this year. For more, keep it locked on Geeks Unlimited!
