Are Amy Robach & Tj Holmes Leaving ‘gma3’ After Being Taken Off Air the Reason Why They Were Suspended

The hosts of Good Morning America, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, won’t be appearing while ABC News investigates their off-camera romance.

The third hour of the daily news program is hosted by the co-hosts of ABC News, who were later linked to an extramarital relationship. They have been off the air for days straight because their connection was revealed in late November.

The Times acquired an email from ABC News president Kim Godwin to colleagues on Tuesday in which she addressed the broadcast controversy involving the anchors and the network as a whole.

I recognize that the ongoing coverage may take attention away from the crucial work that Godwin and his colleagues at ABC News are doing. Amy and T.J. will stay off-air until an internal assessment is finished, and for the time being, there’s going to be a cycle of anchors at GMA3.

Godwin stated, I need all of the people to understand how extremely proud I am of your working hard and competence, and I trust that we will keep focusing our efforts on the things we do best.

Alongside regular co-host Jennifer Ashton, ABC News correspondents Gio Benitez and Stephanie Ramos, as well as writers DeMarco Morgan and Rhiannon Ally, filled in on GMA 3: What You Need to Know.

Ramos announced just at top of the hour last week as Benitez and Ramos took that over Robach and Holmes had the day off. The Times has established that the two have not been suspended.

The Daily Mail released images of the coworkers interacting closely in New York City just days before Page Six said that Robach, 49, and Holmes, 45—both married to other people—had been involved in an alleged months-long affair.

Since the initial accusations and pictures surfaced, Holmes and Robach deleted both Instagram accounts and haven’t come out since.

The fill-ins are likely to alter depending on what’s available.

Godwin told her workers earlier this month that Robach and Holmes would’ve been completely disabled from the air as the network dealt with the controversy.

While the relationship is not against company rules, Godwin stated on an editorial call, I want to say that I have truly taken the last several times to ponder about that and work throughout what I believe is appropriate again for ABC News organization.

The brand and our priority—the people here at ABC—require that we make these decisions, which are neither simple nor impulsive. We need to put an end to this hallway whispering, please. You see, we can’t function on rumors, speculative talk, and gossip. We must remain concentrated on our work.

Whatever happens or where ever they go this whole affair rumor will prove to be a stain on their career as their tv career has already deteriorated lately after ABC News leaves.
