Ray Charles was born on September 23, 1930, in Albany, Georgia. His dad is a sharecropper. Ray Charles suffered a lot from his childhood.
At the beginning of his life, he started from eye disease due to which he slowly started losing his vision. When he was just 7 years old, he lost all his vision.
Many people give up on this condition but Ray Charles knows exactly what he wants to do and very early in his childhood he started playing piano. He loves to play piano all day long.
After a few years, he and his family shifted to Seattle, Washington where he started to sharpen and developed his musical skills more. As his practice brought him a lot of opportunities in his life.
In 1946, he joined a band called the McSon Trio and began performing in clubs. Charles was soon recognized for his unique style of singing and playing the piano.
Charles continued to enjoy success in his career throughout the years. His distinctive style combined elements of gospel, blues, and jazz, and he was known for his soulful vocals and virtuoso piano playing.
Throughout his career, Charles released more than 60 albums and scored hits with such songs as “What’d I Say,” “Georgia on My Mind,” and “I Can’t Stop Loving You. He is best known for his soulful voice and his ability to cross genres, including gospel, blues, jazz, and country.
His music career brought him the most prestigious award which people struggle a lot to receive just one time in their life but ray Charles not only won the Grammy Award one time but won continuously to 17 straight Grammy awards.

Charles was married twice, first to Della Beatrice Howard Robinson from 1947 until their divorce in 1952. He then married Bea Ford from 1955 until she died in 2004.
Charles has 12 children, including Ray Charles Jr., who is also a musician. Charles married twice in his life with his first wife Della Beatrice Howard Robinson in the year 1953. later they didn’t get comfortable in their relationship and after a very long time, they get separated finally in the year 1977. Both of them had two children with them.
