The owner of the Alaskan sailboat Cornelia Marie and popular tv personality Captain Phil Harris used to have a $2 million fortune. Captain Phil Harris acquired his wealth from his work as a prosperous industrial crabber, his tv stints on The Deadliest Catch, and the creation of the Captain’s Reserve, a coffeehouse firm. Phillip Charles Harris, his given name, was birthed on December 19, 1956, in Bothell, Washington, in the US.
He was raised in Bothell, Washington, and at the young age of seven, he began working on fishing vessels. He began crab fishing aboard a boat named the American Eagle ten years later, and at the age of 21, he took over command of the Golden Viking, ranking him one of youngest leaders in the Bearing Sea. Together with Cornelia Marie and her spouse, Phil bought Cornelia Marie in 1990.
Phil continued to serve as Coach while Cornelia took charge of the company even after Cornelia’s husband left his portion of the vessel. Josh and Jake Harris, two of Phil’s kids, work in the professional fishing and crabbing industries. While unloading C. opilio crab in port at Saint Paul Island, Alaska, in 2010, Phil had a major attack. Although his condition had improved after the stroke, he passed only a few fortnights after at the age of 53 after experiencing a blood clot in the infirmary. On July 20, 2010, the Deadliest Catch show that featured his passing ran, and it was accompanied by a commemorative segment.
In terms of his relationship status, he was unmarried at the moment of his passing. In his lifetime, he underwent two divorces. In 1982, he wed Marry Harris for the first time. They divorced in 1991 after a grueling 9 years together.
He did, nonetheless, remarry Teresa Harris on January 22, 1992, and they were divorced in 2006.
