With the Spree’s leader apprehended this season, it’s apparent that the Camarilla and their battle against witches will be the center of the show’s third season. The Camarilla’s personal vendetta against several characters has been established in the second season; Abigail still hates them for what they did to her cousin Charvel, Alder saw them slaughter her coven, which led to the creation of the Mycelium, and both Scylla and Anacostia have seen how the Camarilla treats children who show signs of being witches.
With Willa’s murder, Raelle is almost certain to join them, meaning that practically every witch has a personal cause for pursuing them, which will undoubtedly appear as a united front. Raelle’s ability to interact with the Mycelium through her mother’s soul will undoubtedly play a key role in either assaulting or defending her loved ones from the Camarilla.
Season 3 of Motherland: Fort Salem is soon here! For fans, it’ll be a bittersweet premiere because this is the show’s final season on Freeform.
Last time we left the witches on the run, the situation between the US government and the Witch Army had deteriorated due to the combat at Fort Salem, which resulted in a horrific death. While the Bellweather unit did what was required, it was viewed as a show of might and a move that added fuel to an already burning fire.
Petra Bellweather’s military overthrow of General Alder will undoubtedly be addressed more in the third season. Despite the opposition of Tally and others, it’s evident that Alder isn’t ready to relinquish power so lightly, and Season 3 will almost certainly see her strive to reclaim her position.
As the borders between non-magical people and witchkind are drawn in the third season of the show, the stakes will be raised even higher. Fans will be enthralled by the thrilling finish to this unusual and inventive production.
Things will undoubtedly come to a head in this, the final season, and how that plays out will be seen when “Motherland: Fort Salem” returns for its third season.
The official Freeform logline is as follows:
Abigail, Tally, Raelle, and Scylla were fugitives at the end of season 2 of “Motherland: Fort Salem.” They seek protection among the Dodger community in the Cession now that they are without a military or a home, but remaining low and out of trouble has never been their strong point. Our heroes must call upon ancient forces in the final battle for their right to exist, with witch hunters conspiring against them from inside the White House.
