With Season 3’s release approaching, a major Warzone upgrade is on the way. Activision is spilling a lot of details about what’s coming to its massively popular battle royale game. Godzilla and King Kong will face off in what promises to be a titanic confrontation in the Pacific.
Avoiding a quick trip to the gulag should be at the top of your agenda, as it should be with the start of each new season of Warzone; second on the list should be figuring out what changes are coming to the Pacific island of Caldera.
Season 3 of Warzone is titled ‘Classified Arms,’ and it brings new weaponry to match. However, it’s unclear if they’ll be of much service against the colossal dangers. Bombs have been detonating in nebulae.
Godzilla and King Kong have been making their way across Caldera Island, leaving their mark. They’ll even have their own event, dubbed “Operation Monarch.” There are hints to the incident strewn over the map, including strange old cave drawings and a ‘otherworldly axe.’ If you wish to survive and surpass the trials that Warzone Season 3 throws you you, expect a new level of loot and scoot in your future.
The next season will be released concurrently for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC. It will be cross-play across all platforms, as usual.
All of Call of Duty: Vanguard’s fundamental pillars will be available for Warzone Season 3. There will be new material for the multiplayer and zombie modes as well, so if you play the other modes in addition to Warzone, you’ll have a lot to look forward to.
An epic fight between King Kong and Godzilla is the huge (emphasis on the large) inclusion in the latest Warzone update. Activision is being tight-lipped about what that entails, but there are hints in this monster-filled video for Operation Monarch.
The season 3 battle pass teaser provides a detailed look at what’s included in the Warzone upgrade. It provides you a sneak peek at the new cosmetics and weapon blueprints you’ll be battling for throughout the upcoming season.
Mateo Hernandez, a new Warzone operator, is available immediately after purchasing the battle pass in the latest Warzone update. If you buy the battle pass, he comes with two elite skins, and you can unlock two more by completing tiers in the Warzone season 3 battle pass, as well as two quips and a finishing move.
This season, Caldera will be a focal point because Nebula bombs have been dropped on the island. It’s great to see the map getting some love, considering it hasn’t seen much since the Pacific upgrade.
The creation of a brand new POI is the most significant modification, but there are also updates to old POIs on the map.
