When is the Ambulance going to be released?
In the UK and a few other overseas regions, Ambulance will be released exclusively in movie theatres on March 25. Ambulance will be released in theatres in the United States on April 8.
The intended release date for Ambulance in the United States was February 18, but it was moved to April 8 due to the Brad Pitt action film Bullet Train vacating the date.
Ambulance will be shown with Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which will also be released on April 8.
What is the plot of the Ambulance?
Ambulance is a remake of the Danish film Ambulance from 2005. The American version’s synopsis is as follows:
“Three lives will alter forever over the course of one day on the streets of Los Angeles.” In this fast-paced thriller from director-producer Michael Bay, decorated veteran Will Sharp, desperate for cash to pay for his wife’s medical bills, turns to the one person he knows he shouldn’t seek for aid from: his adoptive brother Danny. Danny, a seductive career criminal, instead offers him a reward: $32 million for the largest bank heist in Los Angeles history. Will can’t say no when his wife’s life is on the line.
“When their escape goes horribly wrong, the desperate brothers commandeer an ambulance, which is carrying a critically injured cop and ace EMT Cam Thompson. Will and Danny must evade a large, city-wide law enforcement reaction, keep their hostages alive, and somehow avoid killing each other while executing the most insane escape L.A. has ever seen, all while performing the most insane escape L.A. has ever seen.”

Who is in the cast of Ambulance?
Ambulance stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as robbers and adoptive brothers Danny and Will Sharp, respectively.
Gyllenhaal is the best-known actor for his roles in Donnie Darko, Nightcrawler, Prisoners, and Spider-Man: Far From Home. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in Brokeback Mountain. He was most recently seen in the Netflix original film The Guilty, which will be released in 2021.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is no stranger to winning honors for his talent, having won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for his role in Watchmen. He’s also no stranger to big-budget action films, having been in The Matrix Resurrections, Aquaman, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, among others. Candyman and The Trial of the Chicago 7 are among his other credits.
Eiza González, who plays Cam Thompson, the EMT they kidnap, completes the primary trio for Ambulance. González is known for her roles in films such as Godzilla versus Kong, Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw, and Baby Driver.

Michael Bay is one of Hollywood’s most prolific action film directors, and he enjoys making things go boom.
Bay rose to prominence in the mid-to-late 1990s with films like Bad Boys, The Rock, and Armageddon, after beginning his career with music videos. Bay is best known for shepherding the Transformers movie franchise in the 2000s, directing five the movies, however, he will not be directing the next planned installment, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
Bay’s last film, 6 Underground, was a Netflix original that was only available on Netflix, so Ambulance will be his first visit to theatres since 2017.
