Three weeks have passed since the last 3dcenter report, and it is now time for another GPU pricing update. This shows that over months prices have fallen an average of 10-15%. This means both Nvidia and AMD GPUs are only 25% above their MSRP in Germany & Austria – which isn’t ideal but does give hope going forward with upcoming releases!
It has been a long time since graphics cards were this affordable. Starting in January 2021, we can see that the prices for these powerful chips have fallen significantly and finally reflect their actual value of $300-$500 rather than skyrocketing upwards to over 1000% more expensive than what they should be at the best-case scenarios like last year when your card peaked around 318%.
The main reason behind prices falling
The graph provides a more complete picture of cryptocurrency pricing. It shows us not only the average cost per GPU but also factors in supply and demand for graphics cards as well!
The 3D Centers graph shows us the availability and price of Ethereum, as well as whether or not it will be mined by crypto miners. The recent crashes may have discouraged people from pursuing this option due to high costs when mining was more lucrative in previous years but now those days seem like ancient history with prices at their lowest point yet again!
