While the characters of Riverdale have seen enough turmoil, it seems like there’s still more to come. The producing body at CW has been much faster than anyone expected with their renewals; just after only six episodes in season 6, they announced another year for this teen drama which means you can expect even greater things next time around!
The CW has renewed Riverdale for an eighth season! The last installment of this hit series will be coming next year, so keep your eyes peeled.
The news was announced on 22nd March by The CW official Twitter account – they didn’t mention anything about it being their final episode but considering what the casting team said before-I would assume that’s how things are going to end after all…
The production of Riverdale has been going smoothly since it returned to normalcy following last year’s pandemic. With season 6 still ongoing, there is a possibility that we may see another one this December – but nothing official as yet!
There’s currently no information regarding the release date for Riverdale Season 7, but considering that season 6 is still running and production has been going smoothly after several breaks due to pandemic-related delays in filming, it seems likely this year.
Will it be the final season
The last season of Riverdale is speculation. In 2020, one of the main cast members KJ Apa mentioned in an interview that their contract ends with season 7, and people started to take notice when Lili Reinhart revealed on Instagram live at the end of 2021 that it’ll be curtains for them too- just days after her comment from Cole Sprouse who works as actor/producer but also gave hint about this upcoming final voyage by saying “maybe.”
The producer of Riverdale has confirmed that there will be more episodes. He also said the show is still “meaningful” and people are invested in it so they have plenty of gas left for now!
Riverdale has been a popular show for years and there’s no sign of it slowing down any time soon. The last season wrapped up with an exciting conclusion, so you can bet that if they aren’t already working on Riverdale Season 8 then Netflix should be immediately called in order to get this franchise moving once again!
