Famous actress Mila Kunis has recently announced that she and her husband will raise $30 million in funds for Ukraine refugees during this crisis. They also have pledged to match $3 million dollars in donations for Ukrainian refugees who fled the country for their safety due to war. The refugees are taking shelter in neighboring countries like Polland, Canada, Finland, etc.
The couple has created a go fund page for the donation named “Stand with Ukraine”.
The Hollywood actress Mila announced that she is a “proud Ukrainian”. Right now in this crisis, she feels the need to stand with her native coutry. Mila was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine in 1983 but she and her family left the nation when she was just 7 years old and went to America.
Mila alongside her husband Ashton said in a video that Ukrainian people are very brave and strong and she feels proud of them. The Video is posted on Ashton’s Instagram account.
She also expressed her anger towards this unjust attack on Ukraine and Humanity. She and her family have started this fundraising for those people who choose their family safety and fleed the country. With this fundraising, they will help the refugees with housing and other essential supplies. They are tie-up with Flexport.org and Airbnb.org for this cause.
According to them, these organizations will make sure to help the people who are in need. Flexport.org is making shipments of relief supplies to refugee sites in Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and Moldova. Well, Airbnb.org is providing free, short-term housing to refugees fleeing Ukraine.
Mia and Ashton are new Hollywood stars to show their support to Ukrainians during this crisis; Lively and Ryan Reynolds are also raising funds for Ukrainian refugees.
Reynolds wrote in Twitter, ” In 48 hours, countless Ukrainians were forced to flee their home to neighboring countries. They need protection. When you donate, we’ll match it up to $1,000,000, creating double the support”. By writing this they are creating awareness among the people regarding their fundraising.
As per the UN’s report one million refugees have fled Ukraine in just a week.
