The User Base of Meta’s Social Vr Platform of the Horizon About to Reach 300k ?

Facebook has played an amazing role by betting its entire profit and future based on the metaverse that has been launched for the same. It has been working with tremendous effort to build, brand, and continue branding for the development of the wholesome digital world, the metaverse. Although the public knows the least about the profits that are being made by them but still it would not bring any harm to us if we assume that they are making billions. It was recently featured in Meta’s Super Bowl ad, and Zuckerberg called it “core to our metaverse vision” on the company’s most recent earnings call.

Earlier in an event, the company’s chief product officer Chris Cox gave a rough figure of the Horizon’s growth. He presumably said that the growth has been recorded to be around ten times the original pace of the users, which would make the number round off approximately at 300k. In the month of December, it was said that the meta had rolled out the version for the private meta users, to test the digital world-building tools. As we are familiar with the concept of Roblox, and Microsoft’s Minecraft, which allows the user to develop a different and unique surrounding for themselves, similarly metaverse has claimed to have developed around ten thousand worlds for the users.

We can only predominantly assume that the company is moving in a profitable path but it’s been only a month since the metaverse has been made widely available to users all across the globe, there are high chances for the platform to have a raise in the number of users in the holiday season. “So while the deepest and most immersive experiences are going to be in virtual reality, you’re also going to be able to access the worlds from your Facebook or Instagram apps as well, and probably more over time,” the CEO said on Meta’s last earnings call.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Metaverse Has Lost $10 Billion In 2021

Although there are no numbers as such which were disclosed by Meta’s team for the sales of the VR headsets. But according to trusted resources, there has been news that these headsets have been sold via a third party and they have already sold about a million of them.

Talking about the features of this metaverse, there is this one feature that is likely to be the most impressive one. Metaverse will allow the user to have their own “personal boundary”. In this feature, the avatar of the user can claim their boundary and feel free to attack or complain if some other user via their avatar does something wrong or something non- consensual. Isn’t this feature amazing? I wish the real world had this feature as well.

Anyway, stay tuned for more real-time updates with the GeeksULTD.
