Samsung’s definitely gearing up for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series. However, as we near the launch of the Galaxy Note 20 series, new leaks have emerged suggesting some of the earliest of details of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series.
The latest leak comes in from Ross Young, suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus would come with an even larger display, 6.87-inches to be specific. Furthermore, this new display suggested by the Founder of DisplaySearch suggests that Samsung might’ve finally got their act together as this new display would come with a variable refresh rate.
Currently, Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series of devices come with fixed refresh rates, meaning that there’s no room for battery savings. Brands like OnePlus, Google and Huawei have implemented some form of power savers with the inclusion of these new high-refresh rate displays. With the addition of variable refresh rate technology, the device could begin saving power automatically under certain situations.
These leaks were further given the green light by popular leakster, Ice Universe, where he affirmed that the leaks were indeed true and in line with his sources too.
Note 20+ Display Leak
Note 20+ will grow from 6.8″ to 6.87″, resolution will increase to 3096 x 1444 resulting in a 497 PPI, 19.3:9 aspect ratio. It will also have 120Hz refresh with LTPO, lowest power implementation of 120Hz due to variable refresh. #GalaxyNote20+

Good conditions to reduce the refresh rate without the user noticing include lowering the refresh rate in video apps such as YouTube/Netflix based off of the video’s refresh rate, or lowering the refresh rate to 30 Hz until a touch is detected.
Anyways, with 4000mAh being the standard for batteries on flagships, having some additional battery optimizations should be incredible all around, improving the battery life on Samsung’s upcoming flaghips which is much needed.
