Meizu may have not been the biggest name in recent years despite their initial success in Asia. However, it seems like the company is still sticking around. Their latest addition, the Meizu Note 9 has just made its way onto Geekbench’s database, revealing what seems to be the internals of the Meizu Note 9.
According to the Geekbench leak, it seems like Meizu would be going with a Snapdragon SoC here, more notably, the Snapdragon 675 rather than their usual Exynos SoCs sourced from Samsung. Additional specs of the device include 6GB of RAM, at least on the variant that has made its way onto Geekbench. Out of the box, the device would run on Android 9 Pie and would carry “ARM implementer 81 architecture 8 variant 13 part 2052 revision 14” as its identifier.
Based on the scores retrieved from the listing, the Meizu Note 9 managed to score 2404 and 6027 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. However, compared to other Snapdragon 675-powered devices, it seems like the Meizu Note 9 seems to be in line with other Snapdragon 675-powered devices. However, in multi-core tests, it seems like the Meizu Note 9 did lose a few points compared other devices.
Based on the images shown off so far, the Meizu Note 9 would continue to feature a forehead and chin. However, we’re unsure if the leaks on Geekbench are true given that Geekbench leaks haven’t been the best leaks in the past.
Pricing for the device hasn’t been revealed yet. However, given Meizu’s pricing history, we would expect the device to fall in-line with other mid-range devices.
