As we approach the end of 2018, Samsung is continuing to explore new opportunities that it would use to help differentiate itself from the competition. Last week, following the introduction of the new displays and notch announcements from Samsung, renders of the Samsung Galaxy A8s begun to emerge online. The renders gave us a taste for what Samsung has in store prior to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 later that quarter.
Images of the Samsung Galaxy A8S have apparently appeared online, suggesting the soon arrival of the device later this month or next month. Images leaked from Tenaa’s certification database showcase what the Samsung Galaxy A8S would “definitively” look like. Featuring the new Infinity-O display design, the Samsung Galaxy A8S would definitely strike a ton of users for its uncanny looks and aesthetics.
On the front, the device packs a 6.39-inch display. While on the back of the device, we could spot a dual camera set up along with a new shiny mirror color at the back. As usual, Samsung’s going with the usual power button, volume rocker, and Bixby button approach.
Interestingly though, the new back on the Samsung Galaxy A8S does seem to be dual-toned as the bottom of the device fades into black. The upper-side of the device features a shiny silver approach that follows into Samsung’s plans to make the device as attractive as possible based on recent trends.
Internally, being an A-series device, we’re expecting to see the Galaxy A8S pack either the Exynos 9610 or either the 7885. With the former of the two being the more powerful. Aside from that, we’re expecting 64GB of internal storage, a 3300mAh battery and 6GB of RAM based on previous A-series launches from Samsung over the past year.
At this very moment, we don’t have any information regarding when the device would be announced. However, given how close the leaks and renders were to the now leaked Tenaa certs, we’re confident that the launch of the Galaxy A8S won’t be far.
