FIFA 18 is going to be the most anticipated game of this year for many football fans out there. Well, here’s a good news for Nintendo Switch owners. EA FIFA’s supervising producer has confirmed that the game will run at 1080p with 60 FPS on the Nintendo Switch, in docked mode. In undocked mode, it’ll run at 720p at 60FPS.
At Gamescom 2017, talking with NintendoEverything, FIFA 18’s producer said:
We spent a lot of time actually understanding what the console is. In dock, what we’re seeing right now, for example, is 1080p run running at 60 frames per second. When you plug out and you play in handheld it’s 720p. We spent a lot of time making sure that transition happens seamlessly and you still get 60 frames per second.
– Said FIFA 18 producer in an interview with NintendoEverything.
So there you have it, guys. You will be able to play FIFA 18 anywhere and at any time on the Nintendo Switch, at full 60 frames per second. If you want the full 1080p experience, you can dock it and enjoy 1080p at 60FPS. FIFA 18 will officially launch on September 29, 2017, on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Switch.
