Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launched on the Nintendo Switch late last month. Released on the 28th of April, Mario Kart 8 has sold over 284,000 units over the course of three days and continues to be a top-seller on the Nintendo Switch in Japan. Nintendo seems to continue with their slow release of titles keeping users enthusiastic and engaged as they did with The Legend Of Zelda:Breath of The Wild.
Being a Nintendo exclusive that’s available on other Nintendo consoles as well, Mario Kart 8 brings some great improvements over it’s predecessor and it’s older brothers. As a test conducted by Digital Foundry, Mario Kart 8 brings slight yet worthy improvements on the Nintendo Switch.
As Digital Foundry reports, the Nintendo Switch runs Mario Kart 8 at 1080p while docked rather than 720p on the Wii U. Additionally, the game runs in portable mode taking full use of the power that the Switch has to offer. However, while handheld, the Nintendo Switch runs it 1:1 at 720p to match the Switch’s native display resolution. Frame rates also run consistent and provide an amazing gaming experience for Mario Kart fans.
