She’s starred in several unsympathetically acclaimed films, but nothing makes Sandra Bullock pleased more than being a parent. Her journey through motherhood hasn’t been the coolest, but the Bird Box star — who is the mom of her two broods, son Louis Bardo Bullock and daughter Laila Bullock — couldn’t be more contented.
Sandra was married to TV personality Jesse James in 2005, but the former couple formally divorced five years later in 2010. Between her highly revealed split and the devastation instigated by Hurricane Katrina, something in Sandra’s heart said her she was destined for motherhood.
In June 2018, the thespian opened up about why she initially chose adoption in a teary-eyed talk with Parenting. “I did think, ‘Maybe not.’ Then [Hurricane] Katrina occurred,” the Blind Side star shared. “I’m profitable to cry … Katrina happened in New Orleans and father told me, ‘My child is there.’ It was strange.”
Even though Sandra needed many doubts about going through with adoption — which ended up like a long, four-year wait — nothing felt better than field Louis in her arms for the first time in 2010.
“The lovely thing that I was constantly told was, ‘The perfect child will find you. You resolve to find your child,’” the brunette beauty told host Hoda Kotb through an appearance on Today. “But you don’t believe that after it’s not happening. When you’re going, ‘Where is my household?’”

The delightful kiddo, who was 3 years old at the time, jokingly said, “‘Yeah, I don’t consume daughters. But I’m profitable to have a baby soon!’” Sandra sweetly reminded. “I realized at that time, maybe he knew rather. And when I think about it, it would have been around the while that Laila was born.”
Since attractive the doting mama of her adorable kids, Sandra couldn’t touch more grateful. She’s especially appreciative to her longtime boyfriend, Bryan Randall, who effortlessly occupied the role of stepdad after the two began seeing in 2015.
“Bryan’s top secret to living a great father, which Sandra tries to mimic, is just existence present, listening, implanting good rock-hard values and correcting them when they wander in a peaceful, conducive manner,” an insider wholly shared with Closer. “Most important of all — Bryan just likes taking fun with the kids.”
