Fans of the hit series Yellowjackets were recently treated to a tantalizing teaser for the show’s second season.
The 30-second clip, released on social media by Showtime, features footage of the show’s main characters in various states of distress, interspersed with cryptic snippets of dialogue and eerie music.
The teaser begins with a shot of Shauna (portrayed by Sophie Thatcher) staring off into the distance with a haunted expression.

As the teaser progresses, we hear several snippets of dialogue that hint at the central mystery of Yellowjackets season 2. “Something’s not right,” says one character. “I think there’s something in the woods,” says another.
And in the final shot of the teaser, we see a close-up of a bloody hand grasping a tree branch, accompanied by the ominous sound of buzzing insects.
It’s clear from the teaser that Yellowjackets season 2 will continue to explore the aftermath of the plane crash that stranded a group of high school girls in the wilderness for 19 months.

If season 2 delves further into these supernatural elements, it could take the show in a very different direction from its more realistic first season.
