“Unlocking the Teaser Trailer: Psycho-Pass Providence 10th Anniversary Movie Preview Now Available”

Not only do new clips appear in the most recent Psycho-Pass Providence trailer, but the opening and closing theme songs are also revealed.

At the end of last week, a brand-new trailer for Psycho-Pass Providence, the series’ 10th-anniversary movie, was posted on the official website. The most recent trailer revealed that the movie’s opening and closing songs would be performed by artists who have previously contributed music to the series. Ling Tosite Sigure and EGOIST perform these songs.

The Psycho-Pass series has produced numerous titles, the most recent of which is Psycho-Pass Providence. In 2012, Psycho-Pass premiered as a 22-episode anime and was generally well-received.

It occurs in a dystopian cyberpunk world where investigators collaborate with criminals known as Enforcers to maintain order. A biomechatronic computer system is used to scan people to determine whether or not they are innocent and whether or not they can be killed with a unique weapon called a Dominator.

After a successful first season, Psycho-Pass was renewed for a second season with 11 more episodes in 2014, followed by its first movie in 2015. The following year, a three-part movie series titled Psycho-Pass: Systemic offenders.

Before Psycho-Pass 3 premiered in October of the same year, the films were released in January, February, and March of 2019. The eight episodes of the season lasted one hour each.

In order to commemorate its tenth anniversary, Psycho-Pass has returned to its roots. The first season of the anime will be adapted for the big screen in Psycho-Pass Providence. The film features many of the original cast members, including Kana Hanazawa as Akane Tsunemori and her co-stars Kenji Nojima as Nobuchika Ginoza and Tomokazu Seki as Shinya Kougami. The director, Naoyoshi Shiotani, is also returning.

However, the aforementioned new music is one of the trailer’s most exciting elements. “Alexithymia Spare” by Ling Tosite Sigure, who also performed several other songs in the franchise, including the original opening song “Abnormalise,” will serve as Psycho-Pass Providence’s opening track. They also performed the music for the Sinners of the System films and the opening song for Psycho-Pass 2, “Enigmatic Feeling.”

EGOIST will perform “Tjisha” as the finale. “Namae no Nai Kaibutsu” and “Fallen,” respectively, served as Psycho-Pass and Psycho-Pass 2’s final songs. It makes sense that Ling Tosite Sigure and EGOIST are returning for the latest installment given their previous roles in the series.

Having the two original composers return with brand-new music for the movie is a natural fit considering that Psycho-Pass Providence is a celebration of the anime’s success over the past ten years. Since the plot doesn’t change, it would have been easy to use the original songs again, but two new songs really celebrate how far the anime has come while still connecting it to its roots ten years ago!
