Richard Ramirez and Doreen Lioy met in 1984 while both were serving time at California’s Folsom Prison. Ramirez, a convicted murderer, and rapist, was on death row, while Lioy was serving a life sentence for the murder of her husband.
Both have done sins and now paying it causes. But Despite their criminal timeline and past, both of them fall in love and married each other in the year 1996. After their release from prison, the couple settled down in Los Angeles where they lived a relatively quiet life.
Ramirez worked odd jobs to support them, while Lioy devoted herself to caring for their home. In 2009, however, their lives were once again thrust into the spotlight when Ramirez passed away from cancer. Since then, Lioy has largely stayed out of the public eye.
She always kept herself away from the media reporting and always avoid them. Even after this somehow media, and reporters get a chance to interview her and she even gave a few interviews too. Also, a few interviews regarding her late husband but till yet she never speaks everything about her husband.
It is clear that she still misses him deeply and continues to mourn his loss even all these years later. Richard Ramirez was born in El Paso, Texas on February 29, 1960. He was the youngest of five children and had a difficult childhood.
He didn’t get a proper education in his childhood and even a better environment as his father is an alcoholic and his mother a religious fanatic.
Due to poor circumstances, she involved himself in bad activities and started stealing cars just at the age of 10 and he also got arrested at the age of 13 for burglary and auto theft. Later he was released from juvenile detention after his treatment or say punishment and went to California and again he started breaking laws.
In 1984, he began a killing spree that lasted for fourteen months and claimed the lives of thirteen people. His are difficult to catch but in August 1985 got caught as a victim identified himHe was convicted of thirteen counts of murder and sentenced to death.
While on death row, Ramirez became friends with Doreen Lioy, a journalist who wrote to him regularly. The two eventually got married, although Lioy never visited him in prison. She is a very loving wife as even after he died in 2013, she was loyal to him.
